*Ti Ti Ti Ti*~non stop "music" from my handphone at 6am of a lazy Sunday morning. Well, today is Shape Run 07 and dear moi has signed up for the 10km run! Collected my runner’s T (its Nike!) on Sat noon and surprise surprise, the design was really cool and not so obiang compared to the previous run I had like Great Eastern Women and Standardcharterd *oops*. Anyway, reached the flag off point about 5mins after the race had started and had a tough time running with the 5km ladies (who appeared in hordes!) till the 2.5km mark. Tats where the 5km bunch made their U-turn while I continued my journey.
Maybe due to that I juz had run about 1 month back so this time round, it wasn’t tat bad. I was running about 85% of the time. Only regret was tat I din sprint near the finishing point, tat was wat I used to do in previous run. But den, the timing shouldn’t be tat bad,heehee..Till now still couldn’t understand why the organisers had to make us walk to one end of Esplanade to collect the Vitagen instead of having them collected together with the goodie bag at Marina Square. It would have save us lotsa time walking to and fro. I had a nasty scare during the run~I thought I had accidentally broke off my toe nails again when I felt sharp pain in both feet after running 4km. Was wishfully hoping tat can avoid wearing covered shoes to work tommorrow,hahaha 
Had a short nap before making our way down to the beach. The weather was nice, erm abit too sunny I should say. Had lotsa fun playing 2-2 with Ah Ger. DD pig kept himself well entertained at 4-4 games. Till he accidentally hit Ah Ger’s volleyball onto a coconut tree. The guys had a fun time trying to get the volleyball down by throwing sand filled mineral water bottles. In the end, it was Rick who came to the rescue after close to 10 minutes had passed and nearly every guy had their attempt.
Now, thats the fun part. The painful part was~I got injured by Mike at my first 2-2 match of the day. He somehow dived and digged his fingers into the flesh of my right foot! Blood started to flow and luckily the sand helped to stop the bleeding. Continued playing like nothing happened and nearly screamed during bath time.*sob sob sob*. Oh well, at least the part of not having to wear covered shoes tommorrow was a consolation. Boy am I tired, imagine having to wake up as 6am on a non working day..Super big turn off but den I make the choice so can’t grumble much. At least the goodie bag was fabulous!

September!!! Start of a brand new month (PAYDAY!!) and of coz when we are paid, it means its time for us to slog slog slog. Another round of closing (my 4th round to be exact) for moi and as usual hiccups along the way (thanks to a goon goon). Sometimes I wonder how should I impart knowledge to someone who seems to know all when instructed yet the final result is such a dismay (you have no idea how much I would love to strangle tat goon goon *urghhh*)
Well, I still have 4 more days ahead so I shall kip my fingers tightly crossed and pray super duper hard tat no screw ups will happen like last month (I dun wanna stay till 11pm!!! NO OT PAY!!!) Moving to much light hearted stuff –> I took part in Amore Womens Day Out 2007!!! Yep, no doubt tats me doing the Yoga and Stretchfit outside Ngee Ann City on Sat evening (1/9). Its been like a couple of years (3 to be exact) since I last did Yoga and surprise surprise, I din break a bone or sprain my back last Sat *evil grin*, heh heh heh…But den, I blew a hole in my pocket coz kuku me 4got to bring along a Yoga mat!! To add insult, I wore track shoes *DUHZZZ* It must either be the weather or the obsession with aerobics..muahahahaha
Btw, I simply adore the pink event Tee as well as the cool white gym bag tat was collected at the end of the event. Not to say I am thick skinned or wat but I really gotta gif myself a pat on the back coz I never expected myself to participate in such an event at the busiest part of Orchard Rd and frankly speaking, I wasn’t conscious of the on-lookers at all. I was too focused on following the instructions and ensuring that I continued to breathe while changing from one posture to another,heehee
To tell the truth, it was kinda weird going to such event by myself but I guessed people who does Yoga are a friendly bunch. A simple nod and a smile was all it took to break some ice, although we were all busily following the movements of the instructor on stage and couldn’t really engage in neat conversations. But at least, I dun feel so lonesome =) Some people must have tot tat I m nuts to join such events by myself, but hey I can’t force my frenz to accompany me in some events which they have zero interest in. Besides, if eveyone gotta wait for someone to accomplish something, it will take ages b4 things get done.

Although its a Thur nite and there’s a workshop to attend in town tmr, somehow juz have the inspiration to blog…heehee…Had switched to using public transport as the main source of avenue to get to work everyday (boohoohoo, no more free rides from "ahmad" :P) for a couple of months now and I must say, its quite an entertainment ride to work.
Hmm, lets get started with the 1st entertainment which will be the fashion show. OLs (office lady) of all ages in all sorts of get up will flocked the mrt cabins at almost every stop. I find pleasure in scrutinizing these OLs from their clothes ->bags->shoes->accessories->handphone/IPOD,muahahaha…Ok, u can say that I am damn evil but then again blame it on my working environment,hahaha. Can’t help if some OLs can’t dressed to save their own lives right.I’ve ever witnessed a couple a times, OLs who simply dun realised that they have grown a winny tinny too big for their tops. As a result, they are showcasing their tummy ba ba to everyone. Imagine being seated and right up close and personal is a lump of fair ba being exposed like nobody’s biz. Help!!
Apart from the fashion show, there is also -> The ruthless takes all game show. Basically, participants in this show emerged as winners by occupying vacant seats in the shortest time possible. This always happened when I am alighthing at my station. Its not always the one who’s standing right infront of me that gets my seat. It all depends on how thick skin one can gets. Of course being ruthless does help. I’ve seen aunties using plastic bags to block the paths of others so that the aunties can quicly position themselves at the most strategically point as soon as their radar sensed I am alighting at the next stop.
I’ve tried to play along with these aunties a couple of times (evil me!) by purposely digging profusely into my bag as if I am looking for my Ezlink card to lead them to think that I am alighting (hahahaha!). Sometimes, I will purposely sit myself nearer to the door so that I can make my way just as the door is closing and the aunties won’t be able to react in time. Besides aunties, some irritating office uncles (not necessary have to be lao kok kok to be uncles ok) also will join in the ruthless game alongside the aunties. They really disgust me! WTH about showing the ladies some gentleman behaviour…Pui!
Oh well, these little entertainment do keep me well occupied during the short train journey. Otherwise wat else can I do?? Can’t zzz or read coz the journey is simply too short. And not to mention, I’ve got my trusty hp to provide me with nice music while keeping my eyes fixed on these interesting entertainment. But sometimes, really is no eye see wor…duhzz…

I am back!! Finally after a long long break, everyone’s friendly blogger is back in action. Hmm, but then again not sure how long will this blogger persevere (Hey, I am talking about blogging okay!). A quick update : (1) Finally found someone willing to take me for life and so went from Miss to Mrs (hahaha!) (2) Had fun planning a couple of months for an event that was done and over with in less than 6 hours. (3) Start of 3rd month at new workplace (still adjusting and learning).
Ok, think that pretty wraps up about moi, time to get onto other things. About work, since it has really been a 360 degrees change from my previous employment. Not only am I in a totally new field, but its also the most complex structure I’ve encountered to date. All along I’ve been working in subsidiaries/regional office. Never had I dreamt of having the chance to work in what is commonly known as a shared service environment.
Its a super dynamic working environment with changes taking place every minute. There are so many departments that have an impact on our work, so having emails flowing (and flooding) every now and then is considered a norm. Communication is considered quite a challenge especially for newbies. Emails have to be worded correctly and sent to the correct recipient so that people will get the correct message and know what the hell we are talking about.
The bit about being a newbie, people always wanna try and push their luck just to see how far can they go (to me, it all boils down to being insecure). And of course, now that I’ve got a small team to lead, can’t be hiding behind the back of my bosses all the time. No one likes confrontation but its inevitable in every work place. So, I guessed I just have to try and be level headed in every situation coz emotions really screw things up (big time!)
So far, I’ve been learning alot (simple things like using the printer/scanner to waging war) and time really flies when there are things to do. Despite still swimming in the deep end, I am glad that I didn’t succumb to temptation to take the easy way out on things. Its exactly the same situation as when I rather just continue to wear my old dusty grey sweater than to take out my brand new red and pink PUMA sports sweater for wear. Its all about taking time to adjust and I believe that nothing is impossible unless we are talking about fetching down the stars from the sky!
Super Moi!
The title of this blog much sums up abt my current work status. 2dae is Mon, which is my 3rd day at new workplace.Yes, I was working on last Sat coz its supposed to be a hard close. And yes, its been a long long time since I worked on weekends. Gosh, working from 9-6 last Sat really triggers me to re-think abt my decision to move from my comfort zone. Imagine having to work instead of hitting the beach on a Sat noon, does sound sad ya…Juz hoping tat not every weekend will turn out this way * praying hard hard*
Imagine my shock of receiving more than 50 emails dated 1 week prior to my 1st day. And on my 1st day, I think I’ve recd abt 30-50 emails too. And the number juz grew day by day. In my previous job, its a rare occassion to receive emails other than during mth end. But even then, the number seemed so ridiculously small compared to wat I m experiencing now. Ok, mayb now the work involves much more parties (both local and overseas) so the need for email to communicate does make much more sense. Not to mention that email wars are inevitable *groan*.
Besides the huge amt of emails, I m oso required to attend meetings. Now tats something new for me. Another new thing would be my dress code. No more open toed heels nor slip ons. Instead, the shoes gotta make me look pro and presentable. Poor feet of mine were tortured beyond words as I "squeezed" them into this pair of court shoes. And 2dae is only Mon!!! Still gt another 3 more days to go! OMG! Mayb its time for retail theraphy,heehee
Besides the shoes, jackets, shawls, biz suits will gradually find their way into my wardrobe. Yup, even tot we are "hidden" at some biz parks, but then image is still impt coz we’ll nvr noe who might juz drop on us any of these days. Only complaint so far ~ no cubicle of my own. Apparently the office has run outta space and so I’ve gotta sit among the staff. Furthermore, its not among my staff! Not tat I m complainin abt being closer to the staff but then I would very much PREFER to be nearer to my staff, at least can build up some rapport.
Oh ya, one of the staff resigned on my 1st day. How lucky can I get ah…Is this some sort of sign??? I really wonder leh…After reading all the emails (flying here and there), I m still very clueless abt how things work and I dun see any possibility tat any1 can enlighten me in a short period of time. Not tat I m eager to prove myself, but at least I need to know wat I m doing mah. Now I seemed like a headless fly, sort of floating here and there but without any direction at all.
Maybe it really takes time to learn and understand. Afterall, Rome wasn’t built in a day too. Its good to be proactive and shows enthusiasm but then maybe I shld really slow down abit to blend into the environment 1st. Nearly forgot, latest updates on my ROM ~~ Going for ROM dress selection tis coming sun, (over)due collection of shoes and the invitation cards are printed and ready for distribution!

Eat ~ Celebrated Ms Leng’s 28th bdae (oops, woman’s biggest secret!!) at Jerry’s BBQ & Grill (Tanglin outlet) on Fri nite with SH. Bdae gal gt her ideal bdae prezzie, which as a bubble bath foot massager from Watson. Poor gal gotta lugged the massager from Pasir Ris to Tanglin. But couldnt reali blame us, none of us had transport coz its supposed to be an all gal’s affair *duhzz*
It was our 1st visit to Jerry’s BBQ & Grill and I must say we were reali impressed with the service as well as wide variety of food for both meat lovers and vegetarians. Me and Leng both had the dinner set, prawns for me and salmon for her. The dinner set also came along with unlimited visits to the salad bar, soup and desserts. SH ordered a vegetarian version of alfredo pasta and we had deep fried mushrooms and potato skins for appetizers *yummy yummy* The servings were generous and the staff were super frendly and had the initiative to take pics for us!
When we requested for a candle for bdae gal, the staff even gave us a mini "Happy Birthday" sign for the tiny brownie which we were taking it to be the bdae cake. Excellent service, definitely worth my re visit!
Play , Watch ~ Biggest beach vb event of the year in Sentosa —> *drum roll pls* Swatch FIBV Beach Volleyball World Tour 2007 had landed at Siloso beach from 22-27 May 07. We bought tickets for the last day, which was supposed to be the matches for 1st - 4th placing. It was a super super scorching Sun and when we reached the grandstand around 3.30pm, most of our VB kakis were cooked like steamed crabs. Its not kidding to say tat we were having free sauna, practically within minutes being seated, my sweat were dripping onto the floor like a tap left running.
3rd and 4th placing was a "fight" between China and Brazil. The Chinese pair put up a reali good fight and caught up with the Brazilians to claim the 1st match. After the short break, the Chinese continued to dominate the game and within minutes, they claimed the 2nd match too. Next up was the finale of the event, the finals match up between (yet again) China and Brazil. It was quite a disappointing match coz the Chinese duo dun seemed to play as well as the prev pair, their spikes wasn’t deadly enuff and their blocking din reali take effect as the Brazilians managed to make a few good spikes.
We also caught Pirates of the Carribean - The World’s End. Other than a few anti climax, the movie was spectacular…Johnny Depp is as cranky as ever as Captain Jack Sparrow and Orlando Bloom is still as dashing as ever! (oops, starting to drool already,haha). Definitely worth watching and seriously, I cant wait for them to have another sequel! Oh ya, spotted someone from the next Fantastic 4 movie, which is showing on our big screens in June 07. Catch him below…
Eat ~ Dear Uncle H had a sudden crave for sashimi and the 4 of us (US, Uncle H & Ah Ger) made our way down to Honjin @ Robinson Rd for Jap buffet! Now tell me, how can I ever lose weight if there are so many temptations around…haiz…Ok, cant blame ppl if they do like my company for makan rite, kekeke :P Getting kinda thick skinned here, heehee…Cant blame me, I m in holiday mood!
Knights of the Round Table..Well, we’re not talking abt the good old ancient times of King Arthur, its abt my ex coy..hahaha..Had a meet up with 5 of my ex colleagues recently and boy, time reali flies. Besides getting rounder (tink ah bui J still the roundest,hehehe), each of us are happier with life and work.
It wasn’t always easy to have a gathering, considering the mix of crowd (some ppl are extremely unwelcome at all), schedules (almost every1 is in accts line *roll eyes*) and of coz ppl making the efforts to attend the gathering. Gotta gif myself a pat on the back tat the recent gathering was a success! (Me the organiser leh, wat to expect, hahaha :P)
The gathering kicked off with lotsa poking fun at each other, since we haven seen our ex acctants for more than 3 years. Over dinner, the 4 warriors updated the ex acctants abt their plights, the evil plots and of coz none of them could visualise as when they left the coy, we were all still living in good harmony! They even think tat all the drama (mama) tat had happened could have been make into a block buster (Any producers are there??).
The gathering ended with all of us having a good laugh (we actually laughed till we cried!) abt the various events that we participated (courtesy of our "super enthu ex boss") from KTV competitions to all female soccer fiesta (we were the 1st female champions!). At least, we did have our share of fun and super hilarious memories. Now we are all trying to find the videoclips that contained all these memories so that maybe they can be uploaded onto You tube. So dun be surprised if anyone catch me on You tube one day!
Officially counting down to leaving the coy,hehehe..To be exact, another 9 more days to go. Den gotta minus a couple of days of leave for med chk up and retail therapy. Starting new job so gotta dress up abit mah, especially since gt inside infor tat gotta wear smart smart, no more dress down days..*sob sob*
So wats up wif moi and DD pig during the past weekend. Well, DD pig took part in Ripcurl comp on Sat and oni one word to describe the whole event ~Chaotic~ It used to be a 2 day event with oni 2 categories being played on each dae, but tis yr (dunno they cuttin cost or wat), everything was squeezed onto a Sat. And as expected, many of the games couldnt be continued after sunset coz the organizing committee oni prepared 2 spot lights!!! So, the teams tat advanced were told to continue play on Sun *roll eyes*
Due to their poor planning of squeezing the event into a one day affair, oni 1 team from each grouping can advanced to the next round as compared to last yr whereby top 2 teams of each grouping can advanced. So poor DD pig met a team led by ex national player in their 1st match and of coz lost the game. Altot DD pig’s team managed to win their subsequent 2 games, but nothing could b done to salvage the loss suffered earlier. Among our VB kakis, oni 1 team managed to make their way to the remaining matches on Sun. But most of our teams won at least 2 matches so blame it on the stupid changes to the elimination rules. *fuming*
Sun was Mother’s Day!!! We had dim sum (at C hotel!!! Its been a long time since I had dim sum and best part was dun haf to pay! Hahaha..Yeah, richie bro paid for the meal..hehehe…Had a pissed encounter at the ladies of the hotel where we had our dim sum. There was tis huge "NO SMOKING" sign on the door of the ladies and yet when I entered, 2 streams of smoke can be seen rosing to the ceiling from the 2 cubicles! Worst of all, dere were oni 2 cubicles lor…
So I gt one of the restaurant’s mgr to chk out the ladies and we saw tis cheenah lookin aunty wif super big Afro hairdo washing her hands. Obviously, she’s one of the culprits since I had been guarding the ladies door. She hurried outta the ladies upon seeing the mgr. The mgr shouted out to the othr cubicle which is still occupied and guess wat tat bitch (who’s ass was probably stuck to the toilet seat) replied "no, not smoking". Biangz, tat bitch even tried to sound irritated like she’s the innocent party. Not oni is tis bitch illerate (cant read signs) she’s oso a big papaya.
Went to bro’s new place in the West and it was a long journey back hme (we lived in the extreme east lor). His place was tastefully furnished and surprisingly neat! DD pig couldnt get his hands off the PS3 game set and who can blame him, considering tat the PS3 games were played on a huge LCD tv mounted onto the wall,hahaha…We were off to 4hrs of KTV wif uncle and ah ger at Chinatown. Finally tried the famous Ko Lo Mee from Sarawak and the chilli is sedap! Headed for home way past midnite, guess I m reali in holiday mood! Kekeke

Decided enuf of me going on n on n on abt my work and workplace. Since has already tendered, shall give things (and ppl) a break, so tat bad Karma wun befall on me,kekeke. Spidey has taught me tat the more we hate a person/thing, the more we suffered coz we cant let go and move on wif life. So instead of letting revenge/hatred engulfed our life (of coz not like hw Spidey nearly succumbed to Venom), we shld juz continue moving ahead and treasure wat we have.
Moving on wif life, besides catching Spidey in action, oso managed to watch Broadway Beng Returns (BBR) and Return of white pig (tats me) to beach, muahahaha….Dun mind me ki siao abit coz Broadway Beng reali ticked my funnie bone alot alot…To the extent tat my (long lost) coughing fits resurfaced! Yeah, tats hw powerful tis ah beng is, dun play play ah (oops, tats PCK)…Hahahaha
I tried to control myself frm luffing damn hard, even tried to stuff my face into DD pig’s shoulder but still coughed quite abit. Heng ah, the cough din followed me home,kekeke. Toking abt BBR, it was my 1st stand up comedy and I was tinking will the whole show b veri dry wif audience like me who wun noe hw to react to gd comic timing. Furthermore, there seems to be quite a huge turnout of (rich) uncles & aunties as compared to the school kids’ affair at the screening of Blithe Spirit.
The whole show was presented in a mixture of Hokkien and English, with digs at S’pore Pools, casinos, IRs, not forgetting Ah Beng’s favourite hobby ~belting out songs~ from ABBA to Chen Lei (hokkien heavenly king). So for those who wanna luff their blues away, BBR will definitely make u luff till u tng khor! (hey, me nt tat crude hor,tats wat BBR flyer says,lol)
Enjoyed myself at beach on sat altot we lost every single 4-4 games,hahaha. The wind was affectin our judgement and make us reali laid back,hehehe..Walked Maple (WX’s puppy) to Rasa Sentosa and it took us abt 10mins juz to cover tat distance. Maple is so curious abt everything, she nearly had escargot (a dead snail) for tea break,kekeke. Too bad DD pig oni gt eyes for french bulldog, I prefer cuter dogs (u can call me a bimbo watever, heck care). Gonna grab my tickets to Dim Sum Dollies ~The History of Singapore b4 they are sold out. Once again, any1 who wanna haf a gd luff after a week of hard work, u noe wat to do *wink*
