VinVin’s Tots

Whitesands (WS) shoppin mall near my place has been undergoing reno for quite some time and I must sae I m reali impressed wif the new paint work and addition of retail shops. There are more restaurants like Sakae, Lerk Thai and also more fashion outlets. And best of all, they haf Ben & Jerrys!!! *yummy,yum,yum*

So when mummy dearest asked me to popped over to NTUC to get her an ($12.90) ironin board, I was full of "YES". When me & DD pig reached WS, we were surprised to see another new HK style cafe has started biz at WS. The new HK style cafe is a franchise of HongKong Cafe Xin Wang. I loved the Yi Din Mian at Xin Wan to bits. The noodles are so Q (springy) and the sauce is simply delicions *mama mia*.

And so, we decided to join the Q tat has stretched beyond the main entrance. We were seated almost immediately and one could easily understand y. Most of the tables were meant for 2 diners so for families of 3 -4, gotta wait for the neighbouring tables to finish b4 can join them up to accomodate every1.

We ordered a plate of floss fried rice, 2 dim sum, a plate of veg wif wasabi soy sauce and drinks. The server was quite kind enuf to inform us tat their bean curd desserts will b too much for us to handle as the portions were meant for 3-4 diners. Was quite impressed wif the server as he was helpful enuf to make sure we dun order xtra food.

However, wats abt to follow totatlly wiped out any good impressions I’ve had of the place. The fried rice came 1st, followed by the dim sum. Abt 20mins into attackin the fried rice & dim sum, drinks were still not in sight. Politely asked the same server to chk on our orders. As we were seated quite near to their serving counters, we overheard tat the drinks counter din recd our orders. But the service was still quite efficient as our drinks were served within a couple of minutes.

Dim sum baskets were empty, fried rice almost gone, still no sighting of our plate of veg. Its juz a plate of plain veg wif wasabi soy sauce. Tat difficult to cook meh? Dun tink so lor, even tot I seldom cook *roll eyes*. Tis time round, I asked a cheena lookin server abt our order. Told her the food item no. and she showed me the menu and I supposed she noe wat I meant. To my horror, after poinint out the dish tat I was enquiring, she simply put back the menu and went away to serve othrs. OMG!! She is juz a turn away frm the serving counter lor, cannot open her golden mouth to chk wif the ppl meh?

I contd to "stare" at tat cheena lookin woman and everytime she returned to the serving counter, she juz took the trays of food dere and went off to serve. Wat kinda service is tat???!! Even if she dunno how to tell the ppl at serving counter can oso help to get the senior servers to help mah. Lousy attitude! Can tell tat the eatery nvr provide adequate training to their staff (in the 1st place, dun even noe if haf training at all). The service simply sucks and deep down inside, I m telling myself no way m I ever gg to come back to tis place again.

In the end, haf to ask the kind server to chk for us our order. And it seems tat we aren’t the oni pissed off customers. Heard alot of ppl cancelling their orders simply becoz the last dishes were taking a long time to b served. Some ppl juz dunno how to run their biz. No doubt the branding is dere but wif tis kinda lousy staff and service, ppl wouldn’t wanna waste their time & $ to get pissed off.

Next stop, NTUC. Headed straight to the household section and found 1 & oni ironin board left under the huge "$12.90" sign. But hey, dere were some more ironini boards "hidden" at a corner and the price tag says $27.90 (grasp). The 1 & oni ironin board we found was without a price tag so decided to bring both ironin boards to counter to scan for exact price. Note: my mummy dearest asked me to buy the $12.90 one so cannot anyhow buy…lol

We "caught" hold of a NTUC staff "wandering" arnd and asked her if the 2 ironing boards cost $12.90 each. Noe wat the aunty sae?? "These 2 are different leh". Huh?? Excuse me, wats the diff ah? Biangz…I told her tat both boards are the same except mayb 1 is slightly taller than the othr lor. She said :"you nvr look at the legs properly ah, one is wood, one is steel". Imagine, after flippin the boards over, both (the legs) were made of metal lor!!!

Juz my luck for encounterin 2 service line ppl who simply dunno anything abt service! *PTUI* Was super pissed and told the  NTUC aunty to scan the ironing board so tat we’ll haf the answer we want. Super tired of wastin time wif ppl who are clueless and lazy. At tis moment, a lady appeared holding 2 sticks of flowers in her hand and asked the NTUC aunty wat kinda flowers they are. Again, the NTUC lady told her she dunno anythin coz she not selling flowers. Nearly fainted leh, wat kinda stupid reply is tat. Of coz we noe NTUC dun sell flowers lah, but den can juz scan den will noe wat kinda descriptions mah. Brainless…

After reluctantly scannin the ironing board and yes, the 1 & oni board left does cost $12.90. While returnin the board back to us, the NTUC aunty asked " Good to use ah?" I simply rebuked "My mummy asked me to buy the $12.90 one, good or no good I dunno". Feel like suaning her further, but den wats the pt of wasting my breath on ppl like her. *KNS*

And so, my Wed nite was spent being pissed off by service staff at the shoppin mall within walkin distance frm my home. Tell me lah, who on earth will wanna go dere to shop ah? No matter how good the appearance of the shoppin mall is, with these kinda services being provided, no one will wanna go dere othr than becoz of convenience. Super dread the idea of shoppin or dining dere, simply cannot make it. If I wanna shop nearby, will juz go to either TM or CS, HMMMMPPPFFF!

Dear all, pls hold ur horses b4 jumpin to conclusions…"The One" here does not refer to my the other half, instead I m referrin to the accts asst tat I m currently recruiting…lol

From my prev blog, the accts asst whom was recruited in Oct06 has left and currently no 1 had been deemed suitable to fill up the vacancy. We haf expanded our search engines (no choice, gotta get help frm the PROs) and the resumes haf been coming in (note: not pourin in) and we’re expectin a candidate tmr mornin. Based on my experience, the salary package we’re offering is quite attractive. Even when I left my prev coy of 6 yrs and they did a counter offer, the amt was no where near wat we’re offering currently.

Sounds sad rite, imagine workin fr 6 yrs and yet the pay is super pathetic (not to mention tat gt Digimon plottin to back stab us every now n den…Haiz). Anyway, we did interviewed 2 candidates so far and all I can sae is they dun haf the X factor which we’re lookin for. I noe we’re not on the search for "the next big thing" *roll eyes*, all we’re askin for is some1 who is street smart (extremely impt), good time mgt (very impt), firm, open minded (quite impt) and of coz willing to "merge" into the culture of the coy.

The factors we’re lookin at relates more to the personality (character) of the candidate rather than the ability to work. I tink if the candidate possessed the required qualifications, wats left to float or drown, depends alot on the personality. The job scope is not extremely difficult nor is the workflow always at its peak. If I can manage the work on top of my own (and the auditor has to come at tis critical time..hmmmpfff), dun c y the selected candidate cant.

Furthermore, I dun appraise my staff based on the no. of OT worked. Its the correct attitude as well as making sure tat the whole workflow is smooth so tat no one get jammed up in anyway. And of coz, being street smart does help in survivin an all-women environment (not to mention nid to b open minded as well). So I guessed, takin some time to evaluate more candidates is better than makin a hasty decision oni to regret (and of coz invite trouble) in the future. Juz cant tahan tat everytime gotta repeat the same questions & stories durin interviews. (Good training if wanna take part in Super Host,hahaha).

~Where’s my missing piece?~

Haven been gg facials for quite some time,especially after being pissed off durin the last vist. Let me recap wat happened durin the last visit ~~

Appt supposed to b at 11am on a Sun, but Ad*nis called up n sae must change to 10am coz the session will take a longer time since I m doing both facial & legs paraffin. So, appt changed to 10am and I rched Ad*nis b4 10am (they are not even prepared for biz lor). B4 my session gets under way, beautician informed tat due to shortage of manpower, they cant do legs paraffin for me. Well, since they r short of hands, wat can I sae. So I expected them to do the "light" treatment for me coz the prev session I did "floral peel" treatment.

Who noes, the beautician told me tat my face condition not suitable for "light" treatment, so no choice gotta heed their advice (since they r supposed to b the experts). The whole session ended arnd 11.30am. Was super pissed wif them already so I told the beautician off tat since they cant do the legs paraffin for me den shldnt push my appt to an earlier timing. Its a SUN!! Imagine how dreadful having to wake up at 8+ to go for facials (argghhh!!!) The beautician was nt a single bit apologetic and even told me tat legs paraffin gotta made appt 1 mth in advance!! Duhzz..How come I wasnt told of tat when I made the appt wif them. Simply a pack of lies. Decided to stop facials for a while to show them tat I meant biz. Too bad the coordinator wasnt arnd tat dae or else would haf given her a piece of my mind. *angry*

After the gown tryin session, decided tat it was time to take better care of my complexion & decided to call Ad*nis. The coordinator told me they tried to follow up wif me in vain & I told her abt the unhappy incident I had. She was (afterall a coordinator) quite apologetic and of coz since the incident was quite sometime back, decided to let the incident passed (I still haf package wif them lor).

And so, I went for my appt yest evenin after work. The bus trip took a very long time and I slept almost frm the interchange till Parkway,heehee..Tis aunty sittin beside me kept lookin at me as if I would collapse onto her any moment. Even if I collapse onto her oso nvm mah, I m a woman not a man lor…Anyway, so scared of being molest by a woman meh, somemore I din drool lor..muahahaha

Lost my sense of direction at the bus stop and ended up walkin 1 big round b4 rchin Ad*nis. Facial session started and I started to regret almost immediately. Coz a session normally takes arnd 1.5 - 2 hrs and since I rched dere at 6.45, by the time I m done, it will b almost 9 and Ad*nis is supposed to close at 8.30. Imagine the beautician tryin to do all she is supposed to do within a limited timeframe. Feeling quite cheated for choosin to do facial durin weekday after work. Coz the amt of time spent is so short compared to durin the weekends..duhzz…

Feel like kickin myself for wastin 2 facial sessions and they r not cheap lor. Being a woman is so "ma fan"..Gotta stay in good shape, haf good complexion, haf good fashion sense (so tat wun b the butt of jokes at parties & gatherings) and earn enuf $$ to do all the above!!! Life of a woman is indeed not simple and best of all, guys juz dun seem to understand at all

~Beauty comes from within but how many ppl would bother to discover more~

Its official…I m FAT!!!!!! Now the reality of me being bui bui has finally been sealed (sob sob sob). Nvr ever tot I will achieve the ah bui status tis soon. But I guessed, its a good wake up call for me. At least haf more time to try & get into shape b4 photoshoot and actual gown fitting.

Woke up super early on Sat, was feelin quite excited abt gg for 1st gown fitting. Picked up WX at Khatib mrt and made our way to GHA@Yishun. Was quite surprised by the appearance of GHA. Was expectin to find a not-so-modern lookin bridal boutique. However, GHA looked exactly like those bridal boutiques in town area. Spacious, bright and cosy lookin, exactly opposite of wat I was expecting,heehee…

My coordinator D welcomed us wif a big smile n some drinks and soon we were on the journey of "finding the design tat suits me best", kekeke..1st up were some tube top design gowns. Big mistake!! I looked super flabby and worse still had a hard time tryin to zip up (OMG!!!)..Super depressed at my own reflection in the mirror :(  Next up, sphagetti tops…Oso dun look tat flatterin altot slightly better than the tube designs…

Decided to gif halter tops a try since I still haf my nice shoulders (at least still haf something good,phew)…Tried 3 gowns and they reali looked quite good on me. The cuttin was juz nice and finaly no prob wif zippin up *phew* (close shave,hahaha)..Was acty quite pleased wif myself for lookin tat tall n elegant..But still, I m determined to lose some weight so tat I will b able to fit into any designs, instead of being limited to juz halter types…

It was a tiring task tryin out all the weddin gowns, esp tryin to "squeeze" the can-can into the gowns,hahaha..Imagine me tryin out gowns until sweat appeared,heehee Next stop, Evening Gowns (EG)!!! Was totally clueless abt wat color of EG to try coz dere are simply too many colors and designs to choose from!!! (grasp)

My coordinator D was veri helpful & patient. She took out all the different types of EG (halter, cheong sam, tube, body huggin, long train etc) for me to try and surprisingly, I haf less troubles fittin into EG as compared to wedding gowns (WG). Mayb its the material coz WG tends to weigh more than EG too. A black tube wif small can-can and red embrodiery caught my attention most coz it made me looked tall and slim (hahaha)..

Took 2hrs to finish the whole try out session…Din realised spent so much time tryin juz gowns alone…Its fun but oso quite tiring (haiz)..I m super determined to start on my work out class after CNY (Aerobics,yoga,pilates,kickboxin, here I come!!!!)..Not too late to start on my slim down regiment and of coz I hope to c a brand new me soon!!! *chant-Slim, Slim,Slim*

~New Me, New Year, New Motivation,New Beginning~

26/1/07 ~ My coy’s annual D&D!! Tis yr we’re havin it at Suntec, a change frm the previous few yrs whereby it was held at Changi Village Hotel. Accordin to the coordinators, tis yr’s prizes promised to b better than last yr. Can still rem tat I won the "special grand prize" last yr and the prize turned out to be worth oni $59.90 altot its outlook certainly outweigh the cost (duhzzz). Anyway, juz kipin my fingers crossed tat tis yr will get something decent, at least not some useless hi fi system tat is even rejected by garang guni lor,muahahaha..

Me & DD pig were super duper early, rch Suntec arnd 6.15pm. Decided to go jalan jalan b4 makin our way to the ballroom. We were so engrossed in shoppin tat by the time we rch the ballroom, it was 7.15 (grasp!) and almost 90% of the staff were dere (including big boss!!).

And the nite kicked off at 7.45pm wif a lght performance by the events coy we had hired. Initially, we tot we will b dazzled by the so called "light performance". It turned out to b a dance segment performed by tis guy wielding 2 lighted sticks (looked like light sabres frm Star Wars). Big disappointment tat left quite a no. of bewildered faces among the audience.

Food was served and altot portions were huge, couldnt reali eat much coz the food juz dun appeal to me. The shark’s fin wif shredded chicken was so full of chicken tat I tot I was having chicken soup! Tink the oni dish I enjoyed was the dessert - honeydew sago.

DD pig was "unfortunately" asked to participate in a couple of games and he was quite sporting. Not at all uncomfortable in the presence of my colleagues even tot its the 1st time he’s miting them and gotta go on stage to play games Lucky me won a portavle DVC player, $200 Taka vouchers & $50 metro vouchers,which happened to b the 13th prize (lucky no. 13)

Was hopin to win the I pod wich my big boss had generously threw back to the floor for a 2nd draw. He’s a generous man and he had been throwing back his prizes for the many yrs we had D&D (thumbs up!) Alas, lady luck wasnt wif me the whole nite and din managed to win anymore prizes (damnit @#$%). Dinner ended arnd 10.30pm and we made our way home to rest for an eventful Sat! Stay tuned to find out how eventful was my Sat =)

~Eat, Drink & Be Merry. Work is work, play is play. Haf fun when we are supposed to and slog when its time to~

Had VB at Bedok yest nite. Altot the turnout (oni 7 of us ) wasn’t tat good as compared to Tues but we still had fun. We juz contd playin without breaks. The games were good, after losin quite a few rounds, we managed to fight back & even had the last laugh…muahahaha (ok, better tone down b4 ppl start to sae tat I am ya ya papaya :P)

During the last game, we were leadin abt 5-6 points and our opponents started to speed up the pace of the game, in an attempt to narrow down the score line. We started to play at the same pace as them which results in us losing quite a few points. We were so engrossed in kipin up wif our opponents and totally lost track of our own. That game could haf ended wif our opponents being the winner had we continued to play at their pace. But instead, we managed to kip calm and were eventually back on tracks, playin OUR game at OUR own pace. And no prize for correctly predictin who’s the eventual winner,kekeke…

Tis sort of set me tinkin abt my own life. A fren of mine once commented tat my pay was considered low as compared to those (same age as me) workin in banks when I told him tat I got an increment. And it was quite true coz my good fren Leng does work in a bank and she’s already an AM while I m oni an accts sup…Initially, I was quite upset by wat my fren had sae. Coz to me, I nvr reali bother to compared wif my peers abt salary etc…So I dun c a reason y my fren must make tat kinda statement (he isn’t earnin much more than me,duhzz)..Mayb he’s tryin to motivate me to look fr a better pay job, tats wat I tot to myself. To tell the truth, I was quite tempted to look for a higher pay job,heehee..

But den, I started to look at my life and tink…A higher pay job would mean more workload, more responsibility and tat will lead to more time spent in the office. I may haf to burn my weekends to clear up back logs etc. Tat would mean no more VB at Sentosa, no more VB at Bedok, no time for workouts at fitness centre etc..OMG!!! My life would totally be eaten up by work!!! I will become a workaholic!!*grasp* Tis is definitely something which I would never ever wanna happened to me…

Yes, we work to earn $$ so tat we can enjoy life..But how to enjoy when all the time is spent workin?? No amount of $$ can ever buy back time (tats a fact lor)..My pace of life will be totally disrupted!! I wun b movin at my own pace anymore, I will b joinin the likes of those already in the rat race…My life will no longer be mine anymore *sob sob*

A lot of ppl dun realized tat they sacrificed a lot more than juz their own pace of life when they joined the rat race…They tink tat if they juz braved all for a couple of years, things will get better once they are stable. But a lot of things are ignored for so long tat they will nvr be the same again. It does sound sad but it’s the fact. Tats y I m glad I m still movin in my own pace despite tat the temptations of earning more $$ is always dere (hehe).

I guessed, self contentment is the greatest happiness on earth. No amount of $$ can make us happy if we are miserable deep down. My pace might be slow and dun look tat promising to many…But I am acty very happy wif wat I haf presently and I do haf the sense of fulfillment in my work. At least, I m being given opportunities in many areas (like conductin interview). So as a parting word to everyone, do treasure wat you haf coz if u lose it u might nvr get it back again.

~My pace might seemed to be leading me to no where but as long as I am comfortable moving at tat pace, does it matter to anyone else?~

Once again the wkend has zoomed past wif amazing speed..Well, dere’s a sayin tat good things dun last & its quite true isnt it..Juz when I m starting to haf fun, time passed wif lightnin speed & its time to b back at the work desk..Haiz…

Celebrated 2 bdaes over the weekend (and on the same dae too)..1st up was my granny’s bdae…A simple fare of ta bao food wif my aunties, cousin, his gf and of coz my DD pig =) My totful cousin gt an eggless cake for my granny (she’s vegetarian) and we were so eager to taste the cake tat we totally 4gt to sing a bdae song for granny!! Aren’t we greedy pigs!!!

Next up was Rebecca’s bdae at @ ktv pub at prinsep st…Groupies started to stream in after 9pm…Played "bluff" (using dice) wif ah ger, mike & zhi xiang..A real test of mathmatics!! Lucky me, din reali get caught many times..hehehe..As cake cuttin session was still some time away, decided to go for desserts wif DD pig..Had tou hua & yu tiao at Rochor b4 headin back to the pub for a few games of darts wif Keith, Kou Lou, Ah ger & Onz…hehehe..Managed to kip myself alive even tot super long time din play darts already..And of coz, I had good help frm my master DD pig..muahahaha…

Sun was VB dae..But b4 tat, it was reunion time wif my ex colleagues..The Warrior came to fetch me in her quite brand new white Vios..And altot it had been quite a while since we last catch up, we still banter, bitch and argue like no one’s biz..Guessed by now, we all noe tat neither of us were the spy and we were all fooled by Digimon…Altot Warrior juz gt her licence in Oct, she was quite cool wif her driving..Except parking…Felt like I was her instructor when "assistin" her to park successfully lol…

Dolly followed soon after and we starte gossipin abt Digimon and of coz some hidden truths..Haiz, another round of realisation & revelation…JW & EL finally reached and juz when we tot we can haf a good time gossipin abt Devil, who shld showed up but Digimon’s maid ML…And so, we’ve gotta switch topics now & den to avoid having her carryin tales to Digimon..Immediately upon reachin, ML whipped out her hp & began msgin away..I wonder who could b so impt tat she gotta report immediately..Well I guessed, its none othr than her owner Digimon…Devil who was supposed to turn up didnt do so in the end..Heard tat she was sick..Duhzzz

I supposed Devil might b unsure of wat to expect shld she turn up..I mean, some of the ex staff like Warrior, JW & EL din acty left the coy on good terms..So it will bound to b akward if she turns up & gotta mingle wif them…And I bet they wun gif her any face since we are all no longer under her evil clutches…muahahaha…

Last note, my bridal shop has called me up for 1st appt!!! Yeah!!! Gg to see & try gowns tis comin Sat!!! Super duper excited…kekeke…I tink I will go into retreat after the upcomin VB comp (if we are playin)..But den sometimes, the lure of VB is juz too much to resist…heehee…

~Temptations are always around us, how we avoid fallin into these traps depend not oni on our IQ but oso EQ~

Guess by now u all must b veri sianz…How come I can haf so many 1st in my blogs de…Well, I oso dunno wor…Since the start of writing blogs, haf been encountering alot of new stuff in my life…I guessed, if one’s life is juz stagnant (day in day out do the same things), without new experiences & encounters, life will juz b so dull..(at least to me, tats how I feel)..

~18th Jan 2007~ will b a memorable dae for Johnny & Christine coz its the dae tat they become Mr & Mrs Koo, hehehe…Congrats to the newly wed!!! Was supposed to mit Ah Ger outside cityhall mrt den frm dere walkover to Funan to hitch a ride frm DD pig..Who noes it started pouring on the way to cityhall..Clever me tot of gettin an umbrella frm Giordano (raining days, umbrellas 1/2 price)..Who noes, Giordano (at raffles city) closed for reno -.-" *suay*

Den Ah Ger called to sae tat she’s still at orchard oni *duhzz* No choice but to tell her to take cab to fort canning..Me mah, gotta walk to marina sq to wait for DD pig..Finally, we reached fort canning…But the blur groom oni told us the venue is at the peak of fort canning and so the blur blur us oso juz kip on driving till we reached wat seems like the end of the road *kekeke*

No choice, gotta call for help..Luckily my instincts were correct..We were at the right carpark, juz nid to walk a distance to rch the venue…Saw mike and joe on the way & like us, they were clueless abt the exact location..So the grp of us juz stood outside tis white building wonderin which way shld we head for (goons rite..) Rebecca & Keith were the next to join the "wondering grp"

DD pig felt tat instead of standin dere (lookin like goons), we shld find our way to the venue…So he climbed up tis flight of steep stairs and *woohoo* hit the jackpot!!! The blur groom was standing at the top of the stairs lookin out for his equally blur guests…hahaha..Lookin extremely smart for his BIG day, the groom showed us the little white house where the ROM ceremony will take place…

Ah Ger was already dere wif Lion, Ah Mei, Kou Lou, Kenn etc..The rest of the gang followed soon…Bro & Wx were late & can see tat they reali rushed to the venue coz Bro was perspirin non stop and Wx kip stuffin tissues to him…hahaha..Sotong Rick went to Har Par Villa tinkin tat the venue was at Mt Faber *duhzz*..But he wasnt tat late, so missed the ceremony tats all

And after enjoyin the buffet dinner, it was time for the bride to throw the bouquet…Horrible Johnny dragged me n jie shi ling to take part even tot we already *shiam* out of the house…The gals even "conspired" to let me catch the bouquet…But lucky me, gt help frm Johnny’s granny..She hit the bouquet & it flew to Wx instead…muahahaha..*tian zhu wo ye* Poor Bro, gt dragged (pulled) by the rest of the guys to take pic wif Wx..kekeke

Too bad din haf Johnny throwin something to the guys..Can see if the next couple to tie the knot isit reali Bro & Wx..hahaha *evil me* But den tink tink again, skali my evil plans backfired & DD pig gt it instead..I noe u all are anxious to c us get married but den hor, I still wan my ROCK!!!! So, no rock no tok,muahahaha =P

And so by 9pm, everyone was full (from eating & monkeyin arnd, wats new?) and it was time to make our way home (sianz, still haf 1 more day to the weekend)…Busied myself wif uploading of pics taken at the ROM ceremony to my frenster and sendin it out to those w/out cammie…*yawn yawn* Already 12midnite le, haiz a few hours of slp and back to work b4 weekend arrives…*Sianz*

~Our life shld b like a storybook, filled wif fun & interestin pages as we live each day to the fullest~

Supposed to interview 2 candidates but in the end oni 1 turned up..Guess the current job mkt is demand more than supply..Everyone must b waitin for their bonus b4 they throw in the white envelope…Its not tat we dun haf ppl sendin in their resumes but its juz tat their criteria dun mit ours…But I dun tink our requirements are tat high coz I m the one who wrote out the requirements mah…lol

Anyway, I made a big boo boo right from the beginning..Kip tinkin tat the interview was scheduled at 3pm but turned out tat its supposed to b at 2pm..Was still wondering how come the candidate turned up 1 hour earlier…kekeke..So after the formality of filling up the application forms, the interview began…

Since it was my 1st time conducting an interview (under the close scrutiny of my FC *sweat*), I asked the candidate to share her most recent workin experiences wif us…Wasnt sure whether the candidate was too nervous (she kept huggin her bag close to her) or tat her previous workin experience wasnt tat pleasant, she wasnt able to provide details & we had to kip probing her for more information..

When my FC asked her y she left her prev job, she started laughin (to our surprise..who werent) as if she juz heard some great jokes -.-"…Wat followed was more probing (& rephrasing..Duhzz) and of coz we oso shared wif the applicant abt the job scope, company’s info and wat we are lookin for in the person…The whole interview came to a close at arnd 3pm and of coz we told the candidate tat we still haf some more candidates to look at, blah blah blah…

By now, u all shld noe tat the applicant dun reali haf a high chance of gettin shortlisted…She’s too far way off frm wat we are lookin for…Well, we can oni hope tat better candidates will come knockin on our doors soon *crossing my fingers* And in the mean time, me haf to pick up watever will b left behind by the resigned staff after tis fridae..(poor me) *sob sob*

~Having the correct attitude beats having the highest qualification~

Its almost mid week and wat had I accomplished??? Tis seems to be a common question tat I will ask myself now n den…And tats oso the main reason y I always haf the urge to get outta my current cosy n relaxed workin environment and probably join the rat race at CBD area (???)

Ppl who haf seen me in MSN during office hours would probably envy me for havin the luxury of doing tat (esp during office hours and for almost every working day)…But den, is a torture…coz I reali haf nothing much to do…Sometimes I reali tink tat I m juz simply wasting my time & talent..If I were in some big organizations now, I would probably b attending numerous meetings, giving presentations, shuttling from 1 place to another to chk on the accts etc…Not to 4get having to work OT coz tats the trend (or culture) in big organisations…Duhzz

But nope, I m cooped up in my cosy cubicle day in day out..No doubt tat I get to travel to KL once in a while to chk on the subsidiary over dere…But even so, its juz at most 1/2 a day’s work..The rest of the time are spent travelling frm home -> airport, Sin -> KL, airport-> office, office-> airport, KL-> Sin, airport -> home..The oni perk which I can identify seems to b travelling wif SIA..Yup, tats the perk lor..WEll, I did get to stay 1 nite in KL previously…And the hotel room was quite an eye opener..Big & spacious but juz kinda far from shoppin areas..kekeke (hard to please rite…)

So if I m reali so sick of tis relaxed environment y m I still hanging arnd??? Am I bidding for time??? Waitin for tat moment tat my big break will come?? When will tat b? How long do I haf to wait? So many questions but no answers..My future outlook is kinda blurrish…I bet, even the gypsy lady wun b able to tell frm her crystal ball…Oh well, till the day tat my future outlook is cleared of overcast, I guessed I juz haf to take 1 step at a time & hope tat things will work themselves out…heehee
