My feelings are kinda blue 2dae so shall blog in blue too..hahaha (hw lame wor). Hasnt reali been a gd dae for me…FC dropped a bombshell on me during lunch 2dae, luckily it was after I had wolfed down my beehoon. Ang moh boss had decided to let old mother hen remain in coy for as long as she can work..Duhzzz…

Tat means my future in tis coy has somehw been given a verdict altot nothing remains the same 4ever. But for the moment, juz dun look tat rosy for me…*sigh* His exact words are "She’s a founding member of the coy" *faintz* No doubt tat our Chinese culture has always taught us to be respectful towards the elderly but den it oso depends if the elderly deserved to be respected. How to respect some1 who doze off in the midst of checking documents or speak ill of othrs behind one’s back??? *Biangz*

Well, one thing for sure, its time to start plannin for the future since 80% of reality has been laid out rite in front of me. It will be an injustice done to myself if I contd to linger dere and kipin my fingers crossed hoping for miracles to happen. Time to put myself b4 others, esp if ppl dun appreciate any kindness. Many a times, I’ve always slap myself for being too much of a nice person. Simply becoz not all kindness are appreciated, if not hw come dere’s a saying "it doesn’t pay to be kind".

Altot I dun expect ppl to recipocrate kindness for kindness, but at least they shld haf the common sense to differentiate right from wrong. But den again, some ppl mayb lack tat common sense nerve in their brain and simply relate word for word (mayb even add salt & vinegar) or else they are blind. Blind either by tat magical 4 letter word or blind to wanna be in the "In" crowd.

Tis reminds me of a literature text which I had for my Os. The name of the text was "Chrysalis". The storyline revolve arnd a society whereby any individuals who do not fit into the norm are considered as outcasts and hw a grp of youths wif telepathic abilities are hunted by those dearest to them in a bid to cleanse their society (or world) of any abnormalities. J

Juz ask urself, how often today are minorities viewed as outcasts by othrs. I’ve always tot tat in tis modern society of ours, we’ve come to a stage whereby any opinions and views are accepted with an open mind. Nah..Reality check time..Till now we are still wandering at the same old spot of either u conform (and be the "in" grp) or u stand by ur opinions and views (and be the "out" grp). And tats oso the reason y whenever ppl are prompted for opinion, the most common (and safest) answer will be "no comments". Ppl use tat as a reason to escape being  held liable for their actions and opinions. They dun wan to be left out in the cold juz becoz they dun agree with watever is happening.

To the majority (tats the "in" grp), they dun care how the minorities (or the no comments grp) feel. They juz care abt themselves. They feel tat being the majority, they have the right of way in everything and its either u r in or u get lost, its as simple as tat. Stickin to one’s guns might be viewed as socially unfrendly, but hey it beats being a blind follower. And y cant the majority grp be more gracious towards the minority since the so called power is in their hands?

If everyone does the same thing, tinks the same way, where will creativity evolved from? No one is the same (even twins). We are all unique individuals, so y shld we let our uniqueness be buried thousands of feet underground juz to conform with others. Alot of ppl would sae tat they juz wanna haf a simple life, but does having a simple life means being led by the nose all the time? Its a pity tat altot our society has advanced to a technology age yet our tinkin remains stagnant at Stone Age. *sigh*

"Teenage mutant ninja turtles, teenage mutant ninja turtles, teenamge mutant ninja turtles, heroes in a hard shell, turtle turtle power!" Dun tat sound familiar??? Well, to those who were born in the same era as me, tis famous jingle did accompanied us thru our childhood and altot the 4 famous mutants looked much leaner (wif 6 packs wor) and filled wif angst (esp Raphael) now, we still love them!!!!

It seemed tat the retro fever has caught on almost everything, from hair accessories, clothings to our favourite action heroes being brought onto the big screen. Fans of Transformers listen up! Ur favourite Autobots/Decepticons will be coming to the big screens on our sunny little island sooner than you can sae Cowabunga! So juz rem to kip ur eyes open for the release date of Transformers - the movie.

Altot TMNT was oni 1.5hrs long but den the graphics were reali fantastic! Even more to applaud was tat majority of the animations were done by Asians ~ Hongkongers to b exact. Altot the movie din reali re told the story of hw did the turtles became so human like or hw did April became "Lara Croft" lookalike (she was a reporter in the cartoon during my era), nevertheless you wun get lost watching the movie. Its a whole new storyline altogether, so dun fret abt not knowin head or tail if u reali decided to watch the movie. Juz sit back, relax and let urself be brought on an adventure wif these 4 ninja trained turtles who were named after famous painters.

So wat othr movie is worth our $9.50 tis yr u might ask..Well, let me (ahem!) the movie freak list out some choices…Pirates of the Carribean 3 ~ recently makin headlines in tabloids as all time favourite HK actor Chow Yun Fatt is being cast as a pirate who welcomes the original cast to (take a deep breath) Singapore! Yes, our sunny little island is being filmed as a pirate base in tis 3rd segment of tis world wide selling movie abt pirates. Some ppl sae tat the movie is distorting the image of our sunny little island. But den isnt some publicity better than no publicity at all? Well, it depends on hw one views it. At least, ppl in othr parts of the world will noe tat our sunny island does exist even tot we are juz a small dot on the world map.

Othr movies worth considering to spend ur $9.50 on will be:Shrek 3, Ocean’s Thirteen, Fantastic 4 : Rise of the Silver Surfer, Spiderman 3, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Of coz the list dun juz stop dere but these few movies are wat I can recall offhand. Boy, I reali cant imagine life without movies, will b so boring..hahaha..

TMNT happened to b the 60th movie me & DD pig had watched since we noe each othr. Yeah, I noe we are movie freaks,muahahaha..But seriously, we had cut down on movies by quite a huge %…Last time b4 we were officially an item, we used to watch movies abt 3-4 times a week. Sometimes even in the wee hours on weekends after VB. Amazing rite..lol..Now, all I can tink of is slp (zzzz), tink I m becoming more & more zhu (hmm, well I m gg to b Mrs Choo soon rite),hahaha

~I can still rem the movie we watched b4 u popped the question, if oni the movie wasnt a horror show, it would haf been a perfect beginning :P~

Recd a piece gd news (I tink its gd news bah) frm my coordinator (bridal studio) yest. Told me tat can go down to their branch at Tanjong Pagar to select my ROM dress! Whoopie!! Acty, its not tat I m not pleased wif their range but rather who dun wan to haf more choices..kekeke…Furthermore, saw frm some wedding mags tat the ROM dresses at the Tanjong Pagar branch are reali not bad..heehee

Fri morning, was hoping tat dere wun be too much emails so tat at least can enjoy some peace, esp since the past few days my mailbox had been flooded wif queries from auditors. Who noes 1 email frm the Middle East immediately consumed 1 hr of my sunny morning. Working in a MNC does haf its perks and of coz confusions. Esp when we are in S’pore and gotta communicate wif ppl half way round the world.

Imagine 3 groups of ppl from S’pore, Middle East and US, all working on the same topic, yet everyone views the topic in 1001 perspectives, duhz…Nvm abt tat, even within our small small dept in Loyang, the 3 key accts ppl oso cant b on the same frequency. So cant reali blame our counterparts in Middle East rite & US when internally we oso cant see eye to eye rite…

Been seriously tinkin tat nowadays my job seems to be tat of an interpreter rather than an accts sup. Not interpreter of a foreign language but rather interpreter of modern vs ancient civilisation! The image of interpretor seems to haf deepened from the start of audit. As most ppl will noe, the regulations governing audit have been ever changing to cope wif an advancing society. But, our dear old asset (my mgr) is still living in the ancient civilisation whereby she views auditors as "policeman". Meaning tat watever auditors wan must gif if not they will anyhw write the audit report.*faint*

Its ok tat our dear old asset wanna view auditors in tis way but den my FC and I (being equipped wif enuf knowledge to deal wif auditors) do noe tat as more information is provided the more auditors will probe. Its not tat we gt nothing to hide but rather the auditors tat conduct our audits change almost every year and imagine my poor staff & I gotta repeat the same old story every yr. Furthermore, our dear old asset like to "spoon feed" the auditors by preparing all sorts of schedules and files even when auditors do not request for them. OMG! Nvr seen b4 such good life auditors rite, no nid to ask, ppl already sent the things to their tables. *roll eyes* I’ve always jokinly told my FC tat we shld ask for a reduction of audit fees so tat our staff can be rewarded wif a bonus instead,hahaha.

So u might ask where does tat interpretation part comes in? Well, 1st of all, our dear old asset seldom handles the accounts these days (altot FC sae mgr still overall in charge which I agree coz she’s higher paid than me!), so she’s abt 80% clueless abt wat goes in & out of the books. Next, generation gaps. As mentioned b4, regulations for audit has advanced so much so tat even myself gotta constantly update my knowledge of FRS and FRNs thru ACCA’s webby. So can imagine the puzzled look on old dear asset whenever auditor tells her tat nid to disclose tis & tat in order to comply wif tis FRS or tat FRN. And most of the times when the auditors ask for simple stuff, dear old asset will bring out files & files of ancient records for the auditors, simply becoz she has no idea wat the auditors want.

And so, the interpreter (tats me!) gotta step in almost everytime so tat the auditors can get their answers and of coz avoid un-necessary confusion. Things got to a point tat auditors simply avoid askin old dear asset any questions and instead turn to me & my staff. So, its no wonder tat old dear asset told FC the audit was a breeze. Breeze for her coz she did minimal mah (duhzzz).

Tot tat things will resume back to norm after the auditors left, who noes dear old asset seemed to haf difficulty being on the same frequency as FC. Altot even b4 I joined tis coy, they are already tokin like chicken & duck but things seemed to haf worsen recently. Not sure isit becoZ dear old asset is getting on the aging side (she’s gonna b 62 tis Dec) or is FC havin his menopause (he’s in his 50s). Both of them behaved as they come from total opp ends of the world, each speakin their own native language.

Its not an easy job being an interpreter coz both parties seemed to tink tat they are in the rite. Sometimes, its quite amusin lookin at these 2 old uncle & aunty each tryin to outdo one another. Of coz, dear old asset always lose coz no matter wat FC still her boss mah and since when gt boss lose to subordinate one..lol

Kinda wondering when my "interpreter" role will end. Coz seems tat interpretation has become an everyday affair rather than as & when required. Sometimes its quite fun, but at times seemed kinda embarassing esp when tryin to bring across the point tat who’s rite and who’s wrong. Its quite a learning experience too, tryin to be tactful while efficiently solving problems and not provokin either party till their blood pressure shoots up, hahaha…

~So much to learn in our lives tat we shld always slow down our pace to smell the roses and appreciate the beautiful work of Mother Nature~

For those who haf seen my MSN nick, must b wondering wats up wif my toe…Well, I oso dunno how to start the ball rolling..except tat when I cleansed off the red red nail polish on last Sun, suddenly I realised tat my toe nail sort of popped out. And dere’s tis red red stain tat wun seem to come off no matter how much nail polish remover I put on my toe.

Den it strike upon me tat its blood not red nail polish!!! Omg, sounds reali dumb rite, cant differentiate blood from nail polish. But den again, cant reali blame me lah…Coz, the red nail polish had been on my toes since b4 CNY..In fact, if I can rem I had them done for my D&D in late Jan…hahaha…Does sound kinda disgusting rite, leaving on the nail polish for sooooo long..lol

And den the most weird thing was when I went to haf my nails done at Nail Palace at Tampines, they told me I had a blue black nail and even recommended some medicine for my injured toe. But being the cheapskate me, I tot to myself wats the big hoo ha abt a blue black nail, not like it will hinder me from doing anything. So, I declined the "kind intentions" of the manicurist (not sure is dere such a term,hahaha) and leave my blue black nail to do some "self healing".

Never would I haf tot tat instead of healing, the nail cracked (under dunno wat circumstances) and resulted in the shock I got on Sun. Here’s a pic of my poor poor injured toe. Btw, dun be alarmed at wat u r gonna c ok, my toe altot injured still looks cute lor…heehee

And so, I’ve learnt a lesson frm my injured toe : Never to take things lightly and oso dun ever b lazy again…kekeke..Now I still dun dare to wear shoes in case the nail reali dropped off..I tink I would scream out in pain if tat reali happens…Omg, dun dare to tink hw to play beach VB…wat if the sand gt into the crack of the nail & infection sets in??? How How How????? Any1 gt remedy must rem to let me noe ok..For now, I oni hope tat the nails would grow grow grow so tat I can snip off the injured portion!!!

Finally back to bloggin after a short break…Not tat dere is nothing to blog about but rather inspiration dun seemed to flow. Especially during work hours which used to be the time tat my inspiration will juz popped out of the blue. Mayb the pressurizing audit dateline has sort of created a mental block or mayb tat since most of the stuff relating to mission 010707 has finally been almost settled, the urge to blog has showwhat slowed down.

Ok, some updates for mission 010707. We’ve finally settled on our choice of photographer & videographer. Both guys are from the same coy and DD pig was quite impressed wif the works of the videographer tat he din hesitate to make his choice. In fact, we din even plan to engage a videographer at all, hahaha. Another out of budget stuff, but oh well, ROM oni happens once and dere isn’t any re enactment, lol. So might as well, engage a pro to capture the special moments of our “PIG DAY”, hehehe.

We din hit the beach at all during the weekend!! Amazing rite??!!! I m astonished as well at my self discipline. Mayb after browsing thru the many wedding pics of my forum frenz, finaly realized tat being fair does make one look good in almost anything, even if the figure is far from flattering…hahaha…And DD pig had his wisdom tooth op on Sat morning, so couldn’t be so inhuman to ask him to go beach & show his slightly swollen cheek to every1 rite (he does kinda look like a chipmunk tot :P). Besides, we din took part in the comp and we had a wedding show to attend on Sun so I guessed the pull factor to go Sentosa juz wasn’t tat strong.

and the sight from the Marquee was simply breath taking. Its quite difficult to find a wedding Marquee set up in S’pore and I must sae the set up was quite impressive altot it was reali hot hot hot. To add oil onto fire, we were seated abt 2 rows frm the runway and during the catwalk, fire was spurting out frm the edge of the runway!!! Imagine us, already slightly sweatin under the Marquee, den came the fire, duhz.. Reali felt like we were in a sauna. The oni male model in the fashion show reali looked like a life size Ken (bf of Barbie) and he was reali expressionless thru out the show. Ok, mayb not thru out, he did smile a little when he kissed his partner. But like wat the emcee said, they reali did look like fresh off the wedding cake..muahahaha…

The show ended arnd 10.30pm, in fact we could haf gone off at 9+ coz they already pre draw the 13^th – 27^th prizes. And we din win anything, but they did throw in a small bottle of white wine in their goodie bag. Still not too bad, altot it would be better if we could win something…Humans are greedy rite…hehehe..From now till 3^rd week of Apr, me & DD pig will be attending a wedding show on each weekend. Some ppl might asked are we tat rich or are we tat bo liao. Answer is simply NONE. We juz wanna visit the hotels so tat we can make comparisons on the set up, services etc, altot our banquet will be in 2009. I reali hate rushing into things and when things are rushed, they dun turn out as planned. Wedding is no jokin matter and dere are so many factors to consider like budgets (our main concern, so b generous wif

ur

ang pows ok!!!), traditions (simply no way to modernize coz no matter wat, customs are customs) and lotsa lotsa planning.

In fact, having settled most of our stuff for mission 010707 (except my dress!!!), we reali feel quite relaxed. No doubt tat as the date approaches, there will b more issues to address, but at least the foundation is laid and we can better prepare ourselves for any hiccups tat might occurred (of coz hopefully, nothing happens lah). Meanwhile, any1 who wanna noes more abt wedding stuff, dun b shy to approach me ok. Altot I wun sae tat I m a walkin encyclopedia for weddings but at least I’ve been actively doing my “homework”, so dun b shy wif me, kekeke J

Fri - end of another work week. Lookin at the calendar and juz realised tat the next PH is on 6/4!!! Finally finally, cant wait for PH coz tis missy here juz found out tat she oni has 6.5 days of

I wonder hw come all the companies I joined are sooo stingy wif their AL. Isit juz me or any1 out dere feel the same too??? Do share do share, rem we must always care & share..Hahaha, sounds so corny like dunno frm which ad for dunno which campaign frm the old old days. Oh well, some minor updates abt mission 010707…

We met up wif 2 more photographers (PGs) on Mon & Tues. The PG on mon was more on the shy shy side pe coz mayb he juz became a full timer abt 6 mths ago, hence not yet tat gd at PR-ing. But hey, his works are cool! Other than for the fact tat he is unable to gif us a coffee table book album and the no. of pics printed are rather few as compared to othr PGs, he’s quite ok. Quite a nice chap to tok to. Easy going and dun haf tat kinda artist attitude…lol

We tot tat we were on a ball since the past 2 PGs we met were quite nice ppl. However, our date wif the PG on Tues can oni simply b described as a waste of time. 1stly, when we reached his studio, it was pouring cats & dogs, not reali a good sign eh…We tried ringing his doorbell but den it dun work anymore (which we found out later). So, we tried calling the guy. He answered the door, lookin totally unlike a professional who has taken many many wonderful shots at weddings. Well, mayb we shld’t judge a book by its cover rite.

Music was blastin real loud frm his lappie (we tink) and he juz shoved us a couple of albums and went off to do whatever he was doing b4 we “infiltrated” his artistic flow of inspirations. Anyway, he joined us a couple of minutes later and instead of attemptin to intro his works or brief us on his packages, he was more interested in his PDA and hp. *roll eyes* He reali gave us the impression tat he wasn’t reali interested in covering our ROM. Oh well, cant blame him tat mayb our 3 hours affair seems too short for him to display his creativity and unique shooting angles. We shld reali apologize to him for wastin his precious time to open the door for us, he could haf juz missed out on tat tiny winy bit of inspiration tat could won him some grand prizes in some comp..hahaha

And so we were quite cfrm abt which PG we will b taking after meeting 3 in total. But we still haf 1 more meeting wif the sales rep of another Photography studio, no harm juz meetin up coz they dun juz provide photography alone. Tis studio acty specializes in cartoon animations. I’ve seen quite a number of their works and they reali are impressive. And it turns out, DD pig quite like their videography, lol. And so, we were quite tempted to engage their services but b4 tat, we tot we shld juz re cfrm if our shortlisted PG was still available for the mission. It was a blessing in disguise tat we din reject any PG upfront coz the contract emailed to us turned up to b quite diff frm wat we were expecting. Hiccups again ah…Things juz dun reali run smoothly, but I guessed without any disruption or sort, it wun b a memorable event. Some ppl might tink tat the event is oni memorable on the dae itself but for me, I feel tat the process frm proposal to planning and to the actual event are all very special memories to me. We do learn to solve problems, sort out event etc as a couple and I guessed it does help to bring our r/ship to a higher level J

The search for our PG continues and hopefully we will b able to get everything sorted out by end of next week. Next week is the week tat tis missy will come out from her cave and starts her workout schedule! I must I must become fit fit and shapey shapey!!! Muahahaha..But den again I m a realistic person, wun expect to turn into Supermodel (like Claudia, Gisele) within months. I juz wanna get rid of whatever is currently jiggling or protruding here & dere

~Move, move, kick higher! Boogieing to a fitter body!~

Its so often tat we hear ppl complaining abt their work, abt their life, blah blah blah…tat we either become immune or we add s"salt & vinegar" to their already "disastrous" plights.

Stop & tink, y do these ppl kip complainin abt the same old thing again & again like some broken down recorder. Its all linked to the term :comfort zone. Basically, the most common subject ppl complain abt is their job. They will kip sayin tat they are underpaid, overloaded, unfairly treated etc. So y dun these ppl do something abt wat they r complaining abt??? Becoz, if they reali DO something, its either confrontations wif the mgt or leave the company.

To me, I dun reali believe in confronting the mgt. Becoz more than often, when u dun get ur deserved treatments, it the immediate boss/supervisor tats doing something behind ur back. So in the end, the grievances will nvr rch the top ppl, it will juz die down within ur own dept. So wat for waste the efforts & energy???

So, the best choice in my opinion is to leave the company, which oso equals to leaving the comfort zone. Many will probably shiver at the tot of leavin the company tat they haf so called grown attached to. They are afraid to: learn new things, build up new contacts & working r/ships and most important of all to face an uncertain future. Well, if u ask, my advice to those who are afraid to leave the comfort zone, juz contd to "nua" at wher u are and try to make urself happy by lookin on the bright side of things (if u can still manage to find any side, tat is..lol).

The same goes to ppl who love to lament abt their "pathetic" life. If u reali tink ur life is tis cham tis cham den do something. It can be anything rangin frm changing ur looks to pickin up a new hobby. Nobody will pity u if u juz stand dere and complain non stop. In fact, ppl will get so sian of hearin the same old things, u might end up losing some (or mayb all!!!) of ur frenz.

No one can help us leave our comfort zone. We must make the attempt ourselves and sad to sae not many ppl haf the determination & motivation to do it. If we dun help ourselves, who will? Altot dere are indeed many kind souls out dere but human beings r selfish and we cant blame othrs for puttin themselves infront of othrs (they haf their own life to lead too). So, to all my frenz who are still walking up & down ur comfort zone, gif urself a helping hand for a better life! Jia You Jia You!!!

Inspirations seemed to flow when the workload is lessened (hehe, i noe its an obvious fact lor). Seems tat the week ahead is quite happpening wif a few events cluttered on the upcoming Sun. Hmm, let me see…

There is the Maple carnival at Kallang from 9am-2pm. Goodies bags to be given to 1st 5000 visitors, so hardcore Maple fans out dere, gear up & prepare to grab ur goodies!! Heard tat the 1st 2000 visitors will oso get a limited edition T-shirt. I wonder if any Q will b forming overnite *oops*

And den over at my favourite hangout on weekends - Sentosa…A beach event (quite similar to Surf & Sweat) will be organised by NUS. The funny part abt how we gt to noe abt tis event was on last Sun, while we were all hanging out at the beach, these 2 young ladies and gave us tis piece of paper (abt 1/6 of A4) to the whole grp of us. Imagine 1 small piece of paper to be shared among 15-20 ppl!! How thrifty of them… *roll eyes*

Best part, the webby link they’ve stated in their piece of paper was a blog site, not the main webby of NUS. Can imagine how clueless ppl are when they wanna noe more abt the activities tat will take place tat the event when they cant seemed to find any details on the main webby. Reali leave some to wonder if the event is officially recognised by NUS. Easily cast doubts over the standard of refereeing tat will take place..duhzzz…

So another VB comp eh..Wat will tis missy who’s gg to ROM and gotta either b super tanned or moderately fair do??? The answer is NOTHING! Apparently, some ppl will b sceptical abt will I reali not take part at all. Well, I gotta sae tat I’ve seen lotsa stuff happening during the past comps and dun reali seemed healthy to me at all. While not much harm was done to the body, rather the impact seemed to hit on other things (like perceptions of ppl etc). I must admit tat I dun behaved as composed & calm during the last comp, which is a letdown since I’ve been thru tis kinda things during my younger days…tsk tsk tsk…notti gal…lol

Ppl like to tink tat watever they do as long as they do it in discreet and justify their own sense of righteous & judgement, things are fine. For me, I find tat no matter wat, ppl r selfish and they oni wan the best of themselves. They might not see any wrong in watever they r doing othr than purely the fact to enjoy wat they enjoy. But behind many smiles dere are oso many daggers. For me, I would prefer the politics to stay in the office and away frm my hangout coz I value my frens and their frenships.

After a tiring week at work, who dun wan to relax and do watever they enjoy?? So live a simple life and happiness will always b wif u, agree???

By now, abt 90% of my kakis would haf noe tat come 1st Jul 07, tis missy here would become a MRS…In fact, Mrs Choo (yah yah yah, Mrs Zhu Tou rite…) still sounds kinda foreign to me, tink I will prefer Mdm Tan to Mrs Choo, but den again, Mdm Tan sounds sooooo old (my dumb dumb DD pig still haf the cheek to giggle when he heard Mdm Tan) Hahaha, guess tis missy here still prefers to be Ms Tan…muahahaha :p

Anyway, here’s an update on the progress of our ROM preparations as promised We’ve got our wedding bands, cfrm the venue for our ROM, booked our JP, ordered our wedding favours & ring pillow. Wats left, well I’ve yet to get started on my work out routine (juz ended a busy busy week wif auditors & closing..Duhzz) so tat I can be in good figure (note: dun dare to sae hour glass figure coz haf own limits tat will nvr achieve. Simply put, not much boobs..kekeke)

Plus, we’ve yet to select a photographer for our ROM. In fact, frm tmr onwards, we’ll b visiting at least 3-4 photograhers each day after work..Tat means no VB at Bedok for me, no time to go for workout!!!! *fainted from agitation* Well, ppl do sae tat small sacrifice will lead to greater victory (or watever), I hope tat tis sayin will prove its point in the near future..

Btw, we went for a try out of the ROM dresses today. And I must sae tat the choices wasnt tat extensive as wat we tot..White & pink were eliminated in the preliminary stage of selection. Had the experience whereby the bride wore white and so did most of the female guests. It left many wondering who’s the bride frm the many many pics tat were taken. As for pink mah, dun u all tink tat the color is too itsy bitsy tooo sweet & demure for me??? Haiz, how can a siao char bo dressed up like barbie or hello kitty??? (no offence to the fans of both toys out dere :P)

After 1.5hrs of non stop tryin, we finally settled on a long yellow full body lace dress & a black knee length laced dress. Here’s some pics to share..One quite look like a model, the back view…muahahaha

The moral of the story is I nid to either tanned myself more or to stay away frm the lovely beaches of Sentosa (r they truly lovely??)..The 1st choice seems much easier to achieve as compared to the latter

Oh well, we did ever calculate our expenses btwn gg to Sentosa & not gg. Its not surprising tat gg to Sentosa do require us to spend lesser as we take our brunch at either home or some hawker and for the rest of the day till last evening, the oni splurge we haf is on drinks (yes, we nid to kip ourselves fully hydrated!!!)

On the other hand, if we were to stay away frm Sentosa, our next fav past time would be movies, shoppin (guess who’s the shoppin whore nowadays) and dining. Super unhealthy on both mind, body and pockets, dun u all agree?? (come on volleyball kakis, nod some heads, make some noises!! kekeke) Some might sae, pure excuses to head for Sentosa lor but den again, tis missy here is attemptin to apply for her professional memberships soon lor and when she gets it (hopefully will get it, kipin my fingers crossed!!!) those ppl will noe she mean biz, erm i mean my calculations are supported by sound logic & proof!! Oops, tink gettin away wif my profession bad habits,but oh well in another few hours time, its back to the desk for another round of 8-5 routine for continuous 5 days..Hw I loathe & love my Sundays!!

~I love my Sunday coz I get to play my VB & I hate my Sunday coz its naggin at me tat my weekend of fun & catchin up will soon b over~

It has been a very very busy work week for me, but at last my staff strength is back to normal!!! Yipee yeah yeah!! Timing couldn’t haf been better wif the audits & our mth end closing back to back..But at least, wif the "return" of my capable staff, things haf resumed to their normal pace once more..I m not the oni one over the moon abt my staff’s return, my manager shld b the happiest coz at least she dun haf to disburse petty cash anymore…lol..But mayb she oso quite sad coz it means tat no more excusese for her to OT..muahahaha

Ok, no beach for me during the weekends…1st time no VB at all, couldn’t help but feel kinda lost..But den on the othr hand, me & DD pig haf managed to tie up quite a number of stuff for our 010707 mission…So wat haf we done over the weekends?? Well, on fri nite we made 2 visits to our shortlisted ROM venues. 1 is a hotel at Cityhall Mrt and the othr was a super super stylo class restuarant at Buona Vista. The ballroom at the hotel din reali impressed us much altot the package was quite attractive. They din haf any outdoor set up for solemnization but they did throw in a 1 nite stay at their suite..

Next, we went to the restaurant and upon reachin, we were impressed wif their services even b4 we set foot on the premises. Imagine, they had valet parkin service wor…*wow wow wow*..The garden of the restuarant was a great chill out spot and they even had a pavilion set up already!!! The coordinator who attended to us was very very frendly and she even treated us to cheesecake, choc fudge cake and sinful roast meat (they served fusion treats)..She even wanna offered us red wine which we were to paiseh to obliged.

However, when we heard of the cost per pax we reali prayed hard to strike the ang pow TOTO tat fateful nite so tat our dream ROM could be fulfilled…Sad to sae, I oni strike 3 numbers!!!! Arrgggghhhh!!!Y cannot juz let me strike another 2 more numbers ah…Biangz..Shld haf gone to pray pray b4 fri nite, mayb chance of striking higher..kekeke..Anyway, we went to mit up wif a photographer at Selegie and we reali enjoyed our mit up wif him..He dun haf tat kinda arty farty attitude and we felt tat the most impt thing abt engagin a photographer was tat we must b comfortable wif him or else all the pics wun look nice no matter how good his skills are..2 cents worth of opinion abt findin a photographer,heehee..

Sat was another round of rushin frm places to places and we reali started quite early. Reached tis hotel at beach rd abt 10 and we finished b4 11am which gave us time to grab some good b4 headin to the restaurant at Bugis. So far, quite pleased wif both hotel & restuarant and since the restaurant at Buona Vista can oni remain as our dream *sigh*, its either the restaurant or the hotel as both haf outdoor set up and reasonable pricing..As at to date, restaurant at Bugis haf yet to get back to me even tot already emailed them to cfrm bookin tis morning..

We went Orchard for some shoppin as our next appt was late noon..DD pig shopped for more shirts since he will be workin in the sales dept wef 1/4/07 (DD pig, jia you!!). And surprise surprise, we bought our wedding bands!!! Yepz, din reali expect to buy our weddin bands yet coz we wanna settle on the venue & photographer 1st but den the service at Lee Hwa (Wisma) was sooo good & plus they were having 10% +10% promotion..Who can resist??? I noe we cant if not wun haf bought rite..hahaha

Make our way to Clarke Quay and temporary settled on the venue for our Actual Day banquet..I noe I noe, its abt 2 yrs from now but den the ballroom was sooo bright & grand with its top ceilings and pillarless layout, any1 could haf fallen in love wif the place instantly. Altot the appearance of the hotel was oni so-so, some might sae kinda old old lookin but den the ballroom was simply fantastic..1 thing I m particular when it comes to ballrooms is the brightness..Some ppl might prefer a dim ballroom for mystery & romantic effect but I prefer big big bright bright kinda feeling..kekeke

Sun - supposed to go to beach but was feverish..Guessed runnin arnd the whole of S’pore for 2 days was indeed a toll on me..hehehe (bo bian gettin old already lah). Went to temple wif DD pig (he offened the Tai Shui tis yr wor) and back home for more rest b4 having fish head steamboat wif parents & bro at Bedok. Opps, almost 4gt to mentioned tat we’ve gt weddin favours (gifts) for our guests!! Tis shop at Far East haf alot alot of cute cute weddin stuff…Had the impulse to buy alot of stuff but den tink tink, not yet customary, wait buy already collect dust, so dropped the idea…kekeke

Tis week is a resting week for us coz next week we will b meetin more photographers and hopefully, be able to find the one tat will b dere on 1/7/07 to capture all the special moments. Hope to unveil our ROM venue in my next blog!
