VinVin’s Tots

For the past few mornings, my FC has been treating me to Teh O in hope tat I will take back my resignation (yes, my letter hasn’t gone to HR yet!). But I’ve remained firm in my decision and I m quite glad that I’ve not regretted my decision. No doubt that location is near my place, dun haf to OT alot, good pay and lotsa freedom (imagining me MSN-ing whole dae) but den the whole environment juz sux.

During the few sessions of Teh O wif my FC, I kept emphasizing to him tat the biggest problem tat I’ve met is my mgr. But being a man, he juz cant simply understand hw can 1 old sweet lady be such a big obstruction to the accts team. Furthermore, he’s his superior and he dun haf to work alongside her, so hw can she "harass" him at all? And he finds tat we are makin a big fuss when we tried to tell him tat YES one person can reali manipulate the life and death of the whole accts dept.

Finally, he’s able to see some light as days goes by. Latest update tis morning, he dun wan mgr to do the monthly submission of reports to HQ. I’ve always managed to do up the reports abt 2 days b4 dateline but dear old mgr always wanna "check" to make sure everything is correct. Now her "checking" involves opening up the worksheet and staring at the same worksheet for at least 2 (minimum) hrs without cross referencing to source data.

Realli gotta hand it to her, can do checking juz by staring at the worksheet. I will wanna learn tis skill one day too, hahaha…The best part is the reports done by mgr are not checked by anyone and the data are incorrect! So whenever we close early, dear old lady will take her own sweet time to "check" the reports and submit them oni on the dateline itself.

So wats the purpose of rushing myself and my staff to hell when the person who’s responsible for submission do things at her leisure. Many a times, company dun progress is becoz they failed to pinpoint the actual problem and rite now its exactly wat’s happening. Ok, mayb the COO in Dubai dunno wat the hell is happening here and since dear old lady has been able to submit accts rite on the dot, no big issues rite.

Its quite sad tat in tis world dere are indeed certain companies tat do not c the importance of the accts dept othr than to make payments and collect $$. Its true tat accts dept dun generate $$ like operations dept but at least the accts dept make sure the coy dun spend $$ like water and ended up bankrupt. It oso makes sure tat the coy dun get involved in fraud scandals by ensuring tat auditors have access to watever financial data they nid.

I m so lookin fwd to my last day of service so tat I dun haf to listen to the awful voice of screaming bitch (I will blog more abt the interesting characters here soon), worries abt where to get lunch and best of all listen to rubbish uttered by the "asset of the coy".

Ok, some quick updates b4 getting down to biz. My cough ~ 80% recovered, shld sae to the extent of can play beach VB without coughin my lungs out,hahaha. 28/4 was a busy dae for me with 2 happy occassions happening on the same dae. 1st joyous occassion~ finally 1 of us is a Tow Kay Neo!! (congrats to Fion!) Yeah, my poly kaki of 11 yrs has opened her nail lounge with a parter at Raffles City Shopping Centre. So for those ladies who like to pamper themselves once in a blue moon wif mani & pedicures, do drop by FE The Nail Lounge (#02-27) and lend some support to my kaki ok…Xie Xie in advance. (Eh, Fion ah rem to pay me some A&P fees ah,kekeke)

Next happy occassion was the wedding of Johnny & Christine. We had fun at the banquet, saboing the groom and of coz our party dun juz end at the banquet. We went for a chill out session at Boat Quay and yup, we had FUN! Too bad we din take any pics at the chill out session. Cant blame us, we were too busy playin games, singing, drinking and playin pool.

Ok, down to serious biz…I’ve officially tendered my RESIGNATION!!! Acty I did it on Mon after lunch, givin my FC ample time to digest his meal,kekeke. And I’ve signed my letter of offer tat fateful evening. So can sae tat everything almost sealed up for me. But den of coz, after my FC gt over his initial state of shock, disbelief, anger and helplessness (I m not exaggerating lor) over the PH, he came back for a counter offer (I knew he would do it) wif the post of asst manager.

Now, the counter offer was quite tempting but den its pointless for me coz I simply cant work wif a person who I dun respect. By now, most ppl would noe tat the oni person I cant work wif will b my mgr. Now, many will sae tat they dun understand y I cant continue working wif a person whom I’ve worked wif for almost 2 yrs. Well, ppl change and ppl do change for the WORSE. Some ppl might ask, am I tryin to be too hard on an old lady??? Come on lor, if any1 encounters her kinda attitude n behaviour, one will simply lose all basic respect for a human being.

1 classic example…She distributed out some documents to the staff and when 1 staff informed her tat the documents shld be redirected to another staff,the old lady yelled at the staff sayin tat she has no idea wat kinda work or portfolio the staff is doing. Pls lor, accts mgr leh, nt accts clerk..Hw can mgr dunno wat kinda portfolio the staff is having, like tat can b mgr meh??? The prob wif tis old lady is tat she likes to shoot her mouth off without realising tat she’s shooting herself in the foot. And tats the reason y nowadays we are not toking coz I will juz state facts tat will pull down any funnie/weird acts she’s tryin to put up.

A person who dun gif basic respect to others dun deserves mine. So no point working wif some1 who oni acts out her title but doesnt carry the title wif duty and responsibility. Like wat I’ve told my FC, I dun c a point of me and my staff working our butts off to provide the pay check of another person who’s living off us. She gets the credits, we get the shit. Outsiders who dunno still tink tat she’s the one holding the lead, in actual fact her pace has slowed down so much tat she’s left takin her own sweet time while the world progress on further without lookin back at her. 

I might not noe wat kinda environment I will be stepping into but I guess sometimes we nid to take a gamble now n den. It might be worse than my current situation but den at least I did something to rectify my current plight than to sit on it and whine. Moving forward might not be the best choice but its the right choice for me at tis moment.

Went through another weekend without hitting the beach, tink I m getting fairer (muahahaha)…Watched a play – The Blithe Spirit on fridae nite at National Library. It was a wickedly hilarious play by Selena Tan, Lim Kay Siu, Tan Kheng Hua etc. It was such a torture not to be able to laugh out loud coz I’ve no voice! Luckily, only coughed a bit during the whole 1.5hrs play, if not properly would have been “invited” outta the theatre

Watched 2 movies during the weekends, Wild Hogs and The Nitemare Detective. Will be doing up reviews of these 2 movies as well as the play at my other webby listed above. So for those who wanna noe if

$9.50 gonna be worth watching the movies, u noe where to go, heehee…Celebrated my buddy’s advance bdae on Sat morning wif her treating us to vegetarian dim sum and finally regaining some voice back. If not it will be so bored without me to provide them some light hearted entertainment and gossips!

Finally started sending out my resumes on Sun nite and it’s weird…My cough seemed to worsen on Sun nite, probably its my body system in protest tat me will be back in tis office at my desk, wasting my time again. But at least I’ve sent out some resumes rite, rather than sitting there and sighing my dae away. After 4 bottles of Chinese medicine, still coughing like nobody’s biz and yes, the greenish gloob are still appearing now and den and my nose occasionally bleeds from too much sneezing. Boy, when will I ever recover…Please let me get well soon, need to go for interviews leh…

My staff is on MC 2dae but the HR exec hasn’t sent out any email regarding her absence. Wondering if any1 does work around here *rolls eyes*. So sickening to be sick (rhymes ya..), cant do any exercise at all, even laughing out loud also pose a threat to triggering off non stop loud coughs…Like tat hw to lose weight to b in good shape for 1^st Jul!!! *sob sob* Cant start on my Amore workouts till at least the cough goes away if not will probably be panting 10mins into the session…Cant take my collagen drinks coz nid to take medicine at nite, aiyoh…Cant do so many things becoz of tis cough, reali hate it leh…

Finally Fri again..Reali cant recall much hw did the week went by. Juz noe tat time passed reali fast in the office, went home, haf dinner, watched some TV programs, played some games on my DS Lite and *voila* time for bed.

Its quite a short week for me coz tis little piggy was on MC on Tues!! Yeah, I m sick..Had a high fever on Mon nite which led to me waking up every hour or so. Couldn’t bring myself to work so called in at 8am to announce my absence. Who noes old asset not in yet (hmm, our working time starts frm 8am mah) so informed FC instead. Went to c doc and I wonder was she tryin to cheer me up coz she said “ Tis yr 20 rite?” Hahaha..Too bad I was so sick tat tat comment din c to haf any effect on me.

Diagnosis ~ Lungs inflammation and fever. Sounds quite bad rite, lungs inflammation leh, furthermore I was totally drained off any energy to walk or stand properly and my gastric felt weird. Had a simple brunch of yong tau foo which left lotsa beehoon swimming in the soup and took my medicine. Rested at home for the rest of the day while my staff treated themselves to Ben & Jerry’s ice cream coz its B&J’s free cone day!!!! To tink tat we had been planning to have ice cream together since the day we gt the flyer…*fuming*

But they were nice enuf to SMS me to join them at Downtown East which is juz opp my place. So coincidentally, at tat soooo precise moment, some greenish glooob with blood came out wif my sneeze and freaked me out. Immediately reported my health status to them and of to bed I went after yet another dosage of medicine. Tot I felt better tat nite and off I went to work the next day.

So, some frenz might asked am I feeling better?? The answer is a big fat NO! After yest dinner of sushi, began coughin real bad b4 bedtime. The throat was super itchy and lotsa greenish gloob (wif some blood as usual). Coughed my way to sleep & tis morning almost 90% of voice gone. Voice gone, good for me, no nid to tok to old asset, hahaha.My ears are kinda like 80% blocked too, no nid to hear sacarstic nonsense, muahahaha. DD pig reckon tat my sickness is related to work. Lack of healthy food, humid weather (its super scorching at my end, dunno y), poor ventilation, imbalance temperature (all the air cons are operating at different temperature!) and of coz having to stomach nonsense from oldies.

Hmm, is tis a sign for me to look for greener pastures??? A hint, a signal?? But den if its reali a sign, can no nid to be so sick mah…Sick until I oso lose all kinda mood to do anything at all. But lucky little white pig (tats me) has DD pig for company. He’s oni short of making chicken soup for me tats all,kekeke.

~Health is an asset which we oni treasure when we are faced with sickness~

Will be attending the 1st month of my ex acctant’s baby gal and expecting to mit my ex boss (Devil) dere too. Wonder if we will reali mit up coz the prev round at another of my colleague’s baby 1st mth, Devil din show up at the last min citing she’s sick as an excuse.

Mayb she gt no face/guts to face us especially since all of us are doing so well after escaping frm her clutches, hahaha (wat a nice term to use eh). Anyway, as usual Digimon will b missing in action due to either her guilt (wonder does she ever feel guilty at all) or her superstitiousness. But too bad, tis time round Digimon couldn’t send her trusty side kick ~The Maid to the event coz The Maid joined after our ex acctant left…kekeke

Many a times we gt into trouble with Devil was becoz Devil relied on the words Digimon in judgin us. Therefore, no matter how hard workin we were or how helpful we were towards our colleagues, we were nvr recognised for these invisible qualities. Instead, if we were to make a minor mistake in either documentation or calculation, we would be given hell by Devil. No doubt tat Devil seriously had a judgement problem aggravated now and den by the super boot licker Digimon.

Couldn’t help but to ask myself, isit rite to judge ppl based on wat othrs sae? If so, are we reali tat incompetent to differentiate rite from wrong??? Its true tat words can wield such great power tat ppl who are naive (and peace loving) will be tempted to believe in watever ppl are feeding them (brain washin them at the same time, duhzz) 100%! Kinda pity those brain washers tot, coz they gotta spin lies after lies to ensure that their butts are well covered.

Its ok for ppl to listen to watever othrs are tryin to feed them but den they shldnt let their judgement be affected too. Those brain washers oso shldn’t impose their judgement on othrs. If not its not abt being kind hearted to pass on information, instead its manipulation!!! There are of coz many manipulators are dere who cant wait to build their own "army", having everyone eatin outta their hands. Nothing wrong to wanna have power and be look upon as a saviour as some sort, but den they nvr tot of the consequences.

Seriously, a person who is constantly spinnin tales abt othrs, how righteous can the person get?? And most of the time, these tale spinners are 2 headed snakes. They will dig out words frm unsuspecting ppl and den add salt, add spice and pass on the "edited version" to othrs. 2 headed snakes like to act as if they are the perfect gentleman or lady in front of everyone and secretly will inject lethal poison like nobody’s biz.

I’ve met 2 headed snakes at different stages of my life and as I matured, I do quite pity the 2 headed snakes. The chances of these 2 headed snakes treatin their partners with sincerity are sooo slim. Quite pity their partners, coz wat they gif to the 2 headed snakes will nvr be equal or more than wat the 2 headed snakes gif. Furthermore, they wun noe watever they are isit the truth tat comes from the bottom of the heart.

Some poor partners may not b able to tell the true colors till marriage and by den it will probably b too late alr. And most of the time 2 headed snakes wun repent or regret their evil doings becoz they c no wrong at all! For them, they wan ppl to suffer rather than they suffer even if ppl nvr do any harm to them. Its so psychological for them to wanna b the one who have the best of the world. But den is dere such a thing as best of the world??

Y would some ppl become 2 headed snakes? Many reasons I supposed but it wun get far frm own self interest. Tats y these ppl are damn low, despicable, rotten and shld b looked down upon. Its a pity tat many a time ppl dun realised tat dere are 2 headed snakes arnd them coz they feel they shld trust their frenz. Hmm, frenz ah…If one day they kenah back stabbed den they noe wat kinda frenz they haf. Ppl have tis general view tat the more frenz they have, the more popular or powerful they are. Not true at all..Wats the point of having frenz who juz sae hi n bye, its meaningless and its not frenz, its acquiantances.

Been some time since my last blog, so any1 missed me?? Bet those who are dying to get juicy gossips shld b missing me lots lots..hahaha…

For those who had read my previous blogs (and my fellow ex comrades), you will not find the names of Devil & Digimon unfamiliar. Gt news from ex comrade last week tat the group FC (who was constantly engaged in political wars with Devil) had left the group. So, the 1st tot that came to the minds of many was tat Devil will be the successor since she’s the next in line to the heavenly throne (wasn’t tat a great description!). But shockingly, the group decided to get a successor from outside the group!!

Now, many would pity Devil for being dealt with such a great blow, especially she has been eyeing tat position for dunno hw many donkey years. Moreover, she has tryin means & ways to get a sergent promoted to captain since the day I joined and the (now ex) group FC has been in her ways from day 1. So I bet she must be rejoicing deep down when news of the FC’s departure spread like wildfire. Finally its her turn to call the shots and a step closer to the holding company.

Who noes tat event will take a sharp turn like tat. Many ex comrades were shock by the twist too. But when we looked back at how we were treated, couldn’t help but tink tat its KARMA at its best. Yes, KARMA..She held back our deserved promotions and pay so tat her pet Digimon can get her "deserved" rewards for being her spy, so now tat she’s been ignored by the group management, isnt tat KARMA or wat???

Of coz Devil wun tink its KARMA coz till tis day she still stand firmly by her actions & decisions to promote Digimon instead of any1 of us. For me, I dun hold any grudges against either Digimon or Devil coz I’ve learnt alot during my 6 yrs in the battlefield. Never was dere a day tat I doubt my own capabilities as compared to Digimon (imagine tat I coached Digimon to her diploma lor). Neither do I blame Devil for being "mesmerized" by watever stories Digimon had spinned for her. In the end, both of them will get their deserved KARMA and its proven isnt it.

Btw, for those interested to noe wats up with Digimon…Well, recently she sms me, not sure isit news of my upcoming ROM was gg round. Anyway, was told by her tat she’s taking life easy, not doing as much OT, watching DVDs at home after work and her room mate had moved out. 1 ex comrade asked isit becoz her room mate cant tahan her, seriously I dunno leh coz I wasn’t quite bother to know more, muahahaha

So do alot of ppl believe in KARMA? A fren told me tat dere are some ppl who dun and when their life reali take a bad turn, they take it like a pinch of salt. Of coz KARMA dun necessary befalls on those who had done wrong to others, sometimes the loved ones are the ones who sufffered instead. Ppl have tis general concept tat as long as they dun commit crimes (stealing, fighting etc) they wun get bad KARMA. Its not true at all. Gossiping, spreading of rumours, back stabbing, plotting and ill treating others are oso considered as bad deeds. And its juz a matter of time b4 KARMA comes knockin on their door.

Some ppl will still tink "who are u tryin to kid ah, tok abt KARMA. If anythin were to happen to me, would haf already happen lor. Tryin to scare me isit, wun work one". The thing is KARMA dun happen instantly like snapping your fingers. Instead, it will juz drop upon you one day, catchin you totally off guard and it will be too late to regret.

Wake up wake up!!! Tis is not preaching ok! Its a view to share towards being a better person coz its reali no point being at the top of the world when the character is as rotten as a rodent. How often do you read abt successful businessman who has a lousy character??? Almost none, coz no one can be successful if they dun treat ppl with respect (who would wanna be an accomplice to a devil from hell??). And its never too late to ditch the bad stuff and pick up the good ones rite!

Must admit, the no. of posts are getting lesser…Not tat dere is nothing to write abt but rather getting lazier (or mayb busier :P). And becoz I’ve gt another webby so mayb kinda confused as to which webby shld I blog in. But oh well, since my multiply acct is titled "My Secret Garden", shall post abt me & DD Pig’s stuff over dere and tis webby shall b the place for my never ending nonsense..muahahaha

Mon was juz like any normal day except tat a super super suay incident happened to me in office. Cant remember y dere’s a nid to dig out old documents (but seems like accts ppl are forever diggin arnd for artefacts like Lara Croft), but anyway was standing rite infront of a pile of files (those flimsy paper files and the black ring files) and toking to my staff, next minute "TIMBER"! Yeah, numerous files started tumbling down on my left foot. I was so stunned tat I juz stood dere like an idiot. My mind reali blacked out!!!

Whoa! 1st time blacking out leh, was so stunned tat I din shout/scream or do anything except stood so still tat cant even rem how long the incident lasted. Anyway when I’ve finally pulled myself together, saw a bloody long cut (yah, files can cut like a blade oso lor) and the ankle part was swollen. U can find a pic of my foot after the accident.

When it was time to go home, the ankle part was so swollen tat I’ve gotta forsake my heels and wore my office slippers home. DD pig took me to the sinseh at nite and my poor left foot was bandaged up for the next 2 days.

Tues nite was quite a unusual nite as our JP ~ Mrs Chia had acty asked us to mit her at her condo so tat she could sign our documents. Was kinda nervous when DD pig told me tat gotta mit up wif Mrs Chia coz read from some webby tat she’s kinda fierce. But on the othr hand, at least she makes the efforts to mit us so tat at least she can clear any doubts we might haf wif regards to our upcoming ROM.

And so on the dot at 8pm, we arrived at the clubhouse of her condo oni to find several couples seated outside waiting for Mrs Chia too! Wow, wasn’t expecting such a big gathering man. Many tots were racing thru my mind "Will Mrs Chia made us tell the othr couples our love story?" or "Will Mrs Chia ask us to do some super mushy stuff infront of othr couples". Boy, its a wonder tat I din get a nervous breakdown or heart attack, hehehe (lousy me eh).

The moment we met up wif Mrs Chia, we knew deep in our hearts tat we’ve a wonderful choice of inviting her to be our solemnizer. I guessed she must b in her 50s coz she sae tat her children are already in their 30s. She’s a spunky lady so full of zeal and energy (despite being a meditator at the Subordinate courts dealing wif divorce cases etc day in day out) who never failed to tickle us with her wicked humour. So for those who had been invited to Our Secret Garden, be sure to take notice of dear Mrs Chia *wink*.

Dere were a total of 8 couples and so coincidentally besides us, another 2 couples were oso gettin hitched on the same dae. Lucky us were couple no. 1 for 1/7 and we made frenz wif the othr 2 couples so tat we could coordinate on the logistics so tat Mrs Chia will b able to solemnize each wedding promptly. I guessed some of you must b wondering wat’s the main reason for inviting Mrs Chia to be the solemnizer and not other JPs or grassroot leaders. Well, Mrs Chia had tis unique rule set out for every couple tat she has solemnized and tat is ~ Each couple gotta create their own vows!Instead of reading the standard vows, Mrs Chia wants each couple to create their own vows as it will made the whole ceremony so much memorable and meaningful. Yup, homework for me & DD pig, kekeke

Tis week is a rather short working week as Fri is Good Fri! Besides rejoicing tat dun haf to work, dere’s oso the stress of having to cope wif short time frame to get the March accts out. Arggghh!!! Such is life of accts ppl, always having to adhere to the datelines! Juz took a peep at the PH for 2008. CNY 2008 happened to fall on our closing! OMG! Tink I m gettin paranoid coz not even sure for how long will I contd to work in tis coy and yet already plannin for 2008, tsk tsk tsk…Btw, finally gettin a headstart wif my ACCA membership application. Booked an appt wif the local ACCA to have my application assessed on 26/4. Hopefully they find everything in order so tat dun haf to write the student log book (yah, I m a lazy white pig). My best fren Leng took 2 whole weeks to complete hers, detailing her 7 yrs of working experience. Please please please, let my application go thru without a hitch. *Shucks, gotta "bribe" my FC again wif food so tat he will be my referee.*

~Resting to go a longer distance~

Haven been bloggin for quite some time…Well, cant blame me coz was busy celebrating DD Pig’s Piggy dae on Thur and Fri. Yeah, big shot rite..2 days of piggy dae celebration, hahaha…Bet lotsa ppl must be wondering wat kinda surprises did I planned for him since he gave me a reali memorable bdae celebration (not to mention sparkles everywhere..kekeke)

Well, I’ve acty started planning for his bdae right after mine coz I wanted to surprise him so much so tat he will always remember his 1^st bdae celebration wif me. So, I’ve started crackin my brain abt wat prezzie to get for him for quite a long time b4 I chanced upon tis webby (while surfin for wedding stuff) and decided to get him tis very unique one and only prezzie. Hey, dun get so gan cheong and scroll ur way down to pics, must let me contd 1^st mah…tsk tsk tsk..hahaha

In order not to arouse any suspicions, I gave him a PSP game 1 week b4 his actual date telling him tat the game was all I could afford coz nid to save up for wedding day (be generous wif ur ang pows!!!) And he reali took my words for real, heh heh heh…Plan A successful! WooHoo!!

On thurs, I took leave, telling him tat nid to help my folks wif their luggages to airport for their

trip. My folks reali chose a good time to go for their holidays,kekeke. After settling them down my folks at the airport, went home to wait for the delivery of a choco flavour cheesecake from Getel. The ppl are Getel are reali friendly and helpful. Somehow when I made my order online, the delivery time couldn’t get updated wif the timing tat I wan. So it was after they called to cfrm on the location den realized tat they couldn’t deliver between 12 to 2, instead gotta b much earlier. Shucks, how to send my folks to airport if its earlier than 12. No choice but to tell Getel tat I’ll pick up the cake personally at their Thomson bakery. The tot of traveling all the way to Thomson for a cake was reali dreadful but den for DD pig, nothing is too tough..heehee

Lady luck must be smiling on me (mayb touched by my sincerity to gif DD pig a memorable piggy dae) coz Getel called up a short while later and told me they will make the delivery after 12! Yipee yippee!!! More time for me to plan my surprises..hahaha..And so, while waiting for the cake to arrive, I started to crack my brain once again on how to surprise DD pig wif his mysterious prezzie. B4 I proceed, its time to unveil the pics!!! Everyone must be waiting till their necks as long as giraffes eh..So here’s wat I gt for him!!!! 

Pretty unique rite, at least no other person in tis world will haf the same gift as him, kekeke. So now tat everyone noes wat I had gt for him, here’s wat I did. Recently, we bought a pair of identical T shirts so I swopped his prezzie wif the ones we bought…hahaha..Ingenious rite…muahahaha…Decided to take a nap while waitin for him to return home..zzzzz

Woke up juz in time to get the cake outta box and stuck 2 candles into it b4 shoving the cake back to the fridge. Got a shock when DD pig came home quite early, in fact it’s the time he’s supposed to leave workplace lor…Tried my utmost best to get him outta kitchen (and away from fridge) and when finally he’s in the toilet, ran to get the cake out and tried to light the candles. Who noes he was out of the toilet faster than a speeding bullet (eh, sounds like superman wor,hahaha) and I’ve oni managed to light 1 candle. So no choice, gotta gif him whatever was ready. He was kinda shocked tat I’ve gt a cake for him. Seems tat he reali tot all I gt for him was tat PSP game (hmm, do I looked so no heart type???). Plan B semi successful.

already. Can imagine how happy I m, hahaha..Managed to get quite a few pieces of clothing and a PUMA bag! My trusty brown PUMA bag tat has been following me to the beach for the past 6-9 months was due for retirement and its time to get a new one! Managed to get my new PUMA bag for a good bargain too,hehehe J

Went back home arnd 9+ and DD pig was glued to his lappie the moment we reached home. Me sneaked to my bro’s room for the prezzie and again, surprised DD pig! Kekekeke..So funnie…I left him to open up his “prezzie” while I went back to my bro’s room to get the paper bag wif the real prezzie. Was expectin him to be shock at the “familiarity” of the prezzie, instead he sae thanks. Duhz…Wonder is he in great shock or wat…No choice but to hand him the paper bag. Tis time round, his amazement was written all over his face,muahahaha…Plan C successful!

Couple of weeks back, bought tickets for Concavescream’s unplugged concert @ The Esplanade. Btw, Concavescream is a local band which DD pig has been a faithful fan since his Sec sch days. And so happened tat the concert was a day after his piggy dae. The concert started at 9.30pm sharp at the Recital Studio. The band performed a number of songs from their old albums and they were reali nostalgic (esp for DD pig). Tink it was near to the end (b4 encore) when the lead singer Sean told the audience tat their next song was a bdae dedication to their fan. No prizes for guessin whom the dedication was going out to, hehehe   DD pig’s face was bewildered and at the same time emotional (could see water swelling up in his eyes). Yepz, tat was his last piggy dae prezzie – a song dedication from his all time favourite band J Plan D super successful!

I noe its quite a long blog coz the piggy dae celebration wasn’t juz a “give prezzie and eat dinner and tats it event”. Since DD pig had taken the efforts to make mine so memorable, I should do the same for him. It’s the least I could gif him, since I cant be giving him a *bling bling* diamond ring..muahahaha

My feelings are kinda blue 2dae so shall blog in blue too..hahaha (hw lame wor). Hasnt reali been a gd dae for me…FC dropped a bombshell on me during lunch 2dae, luckily it was after I had wolfed down my beehoon. Ang moh boss had decided to let old mother hen remain in coy for as long as she can work..Duhzzz…

Tat means my future in tis coy has somehw been given a verdict altot nothing remains the same 4ever. But for the moment, juz dun look tat rosy for me…*sigh* His exact words are "She’s a founding member of the coy" *faintz* No doubt tat our Chinese culture has always taught us to be respectful towards the elderly but den it oso depends if the elderly deserved to be respected. How to respect some1 who doze off in the midst of checking documents or speak ill of othrs behind one’s back??? *Biangz*

Well, one thing for sure, its time to start plannin for the future since 80% of reality has been laid out rite in front of me. It will be an injustice done to myself if I contd to linger dere and kipin my fingers crossed hoping for miracles to happen. Time to put myself b4 others, esp if ppl dun appreciate any kindness. Many a times, I’ve always slap myself for being too much of a nice person. Simply becoz not all kindness are appreciated, if not hw come dere’s a saying "it doesn’t pay to be kind".

Altot I dun expect ppl to recipocrate kindness for kindness, but at least they shld haf the common sense to differentiate right from wrong. But den again, some ppl mayb lack tat common sense nerve in their brain and simply relate word for word (mayb even add salt & vinegar) or else they are blind. Blind either by tat magical 4 letter word or blind to wanna be in the "In" crowd.

Tis reminds me of a literature text which I had for my Os. The name of the text was "Chrysalis". The storyline revolve arnd a society whereby any individuals who do not fit into the norm are considered as outcasts and hw a grp of youths wif telepathic abilities are hunted by those dearest to them in a bid to cleanse their society (or world) of any abnormalities. J

Juz ask urself, how often today are minorities viewed as outcasts by othrs. I’ve always tot tat in tis modern society of ours, we’ve come to a stage whereby any opinions and views are accepted with an open mind. Nah..Reality check time..Till now we are still wandering at the same old spot of either u conform (and be the "in" grp) or u stand by ur opinions and views (and be the "out" grp). And tats oso the reason y whenever ppl are prompted for opinion, the most common (and safest) answer will be "no comments". Ppl use tat as a reason to escape being  held liable for their actions and opinions. They dun wan to be left out in the cold juz becoz they dun agree with watever is happening.

To the majority (tats the "in" grp), they dun care how the minorities (or the no comments grp) feel. They juz care abt themselves. They feel tat being the majority, they have the right of way in everything and its either u r in or u get lost, its as simple as tat. Stickin to one’s guns might be viewed as socially unfrendly, but hey it beats being a blind follower. And y cant the majority grp be more gracious towards the minority since the so called power is in their hands?

If everyone does the same thing, tinks the same way, where will creativity evolved from? No one is the same (even twins). We are all unique individuals, so y shld we let our uniqueness be buried thousands of feet underground juz to conform with others. Alot of ppl would sae tat they juz wanna haf a simple life, but does having a simple life means being led by the nose all the time? Its a pity tat altot our society has advanced to a technology age yet our tinkin remains stagnant at Stone Age. *sigh*

"Teenage mutant ninja turtles, teenage mutant ninja turtles, teenamge mutant ninja turtles, heroes in a hard shell, turtle turtle power!" Dun tat sound familiar??? Well, to those who were born in the same era as me, tis famous jingle did accompanied us thru our childhood and altot the 4 famous mutants looked much leaner (wif 6 packs wor) and filled wif angst (esp Raphael) now, we still love them!!!!

It seemed tat the retro fever has caught on almost everything, from hair accessories, clothings to our favourite action heroes being brought onto the big screen. Fans of Transformers listen up! Ur favourite Autobots/Decepticons will be coming to the big screens on our sunny little island sooner than you can sae Cowabunga! So juz rem to kip ur eyes open for the release date of Transformers - the movie.

Altot TMNT was oni 1.5hrs long but den the graphics were reali fantastic! Even more to applaud was tat majority of the animations were done by Asians ~ Hongkongers to b exact. Altot the movie din reali re told the story of hw did the turtles became so human like or hw did April became "Lara Croft" lookalike (she was a reporter in the cartoon during my era), nevertheless you wun get lost watching the movie. Its a whole new storyline altogether, so dun fret abt not knowin head or tail if u reali decided to watch the movie. Juz sit back, relax and let urself be brought on an adventure wif these 4 ninja trained turtles who were named after famous painters.

So wat othr movie is worth our $9.50 tis yr u might ask..Well, let me (ahem!) the movie freak list out some choices…Pirates of the Carribean 3 ~ recently makin headlines in tabloids as all time favourite HK actor Chow Yun Fatt is being cast as a pirate who welcomes the original cast to (take a deep breath) Singapore! Yes, our sunny little island is being filmed as a pirate base in tis 3rd segment of tis world wide selling movie abt pirates. Some ppl sae tat the movie is distorting the image of our sunny little island. But den isnt some publicity better than no publicity at all? Well, it depends on hw one views it. At least, ppl in othr parts of the world will noe tat our sunny island does exist even tot we are juz a small dot on the world map.

Othr movies worth considering to spend ur $9.50 on will be:Shrek 3, Ocean’s Thirteen, Fantastic 4 : Rise of the Silver Surfer, Spiderman 3, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Of coz the list dun juz stop dere but these few movies are wat I can recall offhand. Boy, I reali cant imagine life without movies, will b so boring..hahaha..

TMNT happened to b the 60th movie me & DD pig had watched since we noe each othr. Yeah, I noe we are movie freaks,muahahaha..But seriously, we had cut down on movies by quite a huge %…Last time b4 we were officially an item, we used to watch movies abt 3-4 times a week. Sometimes even in the wee hours on weekends after VB. Amazing rite..lol..Now, all I can tink of is slp (zzzz), tink I m becoming more & more zhu (hmm, well I m gg to b Mrs Choo soon rite),hahaha

~I can still rem the movie we watched b4 u popped the question, if oni the movie wasnt a horror show, it would haf been a perfect beginning :P~
